Licence conditions (23)

The Licence Holder shall ensure strong management controls and effective training of all staff so that they are aware of the premises licence and the requirements to meet the four licensing objectives with attention to: - no selling of alcohol to underage people - no drunk and disorderly behaviour on the premises area - vigilance in preventing the use and sale of illegal drugs - no violent and anti-social behaviour - protection of harm to children
Staff will also be trained in ensuring customers use premises in an orderly and respectful manner as well as regarding environmental health requirements.
Staff training records will be kept, and refresher training will be undertaken with staff on a regular basis. Staff training records will be made available upon request to an authorised officer of the local authority or an authorised member of Suffolk Constabulary.
The Designated Premises Supervisor will be in day-to-day control of the premises, to provide training for staff on the Licensing Act, to maintain training records and to make or authorise each sale.
All alcohol will be stored in a safe and secure location when not being offered for sale. Prevention of crime and disorder
A clear and legible notice will be displayed outside the premises indicating the normal hours under the terms of the premises licence during which licensable activities are permitted.
Clear and conspicuous notices will be displayed warning of potential criminal activity, such as theft, that may target customers.
The Licence holder shall ensure that drinks are only available for consumption from plastic vessels or toughened glass.
The Licence holder/DPS shall ensure that empty glasses and bottles, or other drinking vessels shall be regularly collected to ensure no accumulation in areas where the public have access.
Custom will not be sought by means of personal solicitation outside or in the vicinity of the premises. Public safety
Internal and external lighting will be installed to promote the safety of customers and staff.
All parts of the premises and all fittings and apparatus therein, door fastenings and notices, lighting, heating, electrical, air condition, sanitary accommodation and other installations, will always be maintained in good order and in a safe condition.
Records will on the premises in which will be entered particulars of inspections made; those required to be made by statute, and information compiled to comply with any public safety condition attached to the premises licence that requires the recording of such information. This information shall be kept available for inspection when required by persons authorised by the Licensing Act 2003 or associated legislation. Prevention of public nuisance
Prominent, clear and legible notices will be displayed at the exit requesting the public to respect the needs of nearby residents and to leave the premises and the area quietly.
Customers will be asked not to stand around loudly talking in the street outside the premises.
Customers will not be admitted to premises outside of the opening hours.
Deliveries of goods necessary for the operation of the business will be carried out at such a time or in such a manner as to prevent nuisance and disturbance to nearby residents.
The movement of bins and rubbish outside the premises will be kept to a minimum after 23.00. This will help to reduce the levels of noise produced by the premises.
Adequate waste receptacles for use by customers will be provided.
Any lighting on or outside the premises will be positioned and screened in such a way to not cause a disturbance to nearby residents. Protection of children from harm
Children must always be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.
The licence holder shall implement the 'Challenge 25' scheme, ensuring prominent signage is displayed throughout the premises and all staff are trained in its operation. The Licence Holder shall ensure that any person selling or supplying alcohol at the premises, asks for photographic proof of ID document (a card bearing the PASS hologram, a photographic driving license or a passport) where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be less than 25 years of age. Wristbands will be provided to any customers who has been asked to confirm their age under this policy so that other staff are aware.
The museum will operate a safeguarding policy which ensures that none of its activities, core or otherwise, give cause for concern in respect of the wellbeing of children.
