The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
The only acceptable forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. EU photocard full driving licence; or d. other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority.
Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position inside the premises and also placed on the door to the premises so that it is visible from the outside.
All staff normally employed at the premises to sell alcohol shall receive regular training in the responsible retail of alcohol.
The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers and sellers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV images/recordings shall be retained for a period of not less than 14 days, and the original, or a copy of the CCTV recording, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person. Copies of CCTV recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
Clear and prominent signage shall be displayed both inside and outside the premises stating that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
