A CCTV system shall be in place at site. The system shall: o Be maintained, fully operational and in good working order at all times; o The system will record on motion only; o Make and retain clear images that includes the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of alcohol; o Show an accurate date and time that the images were made; o All images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and all the original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided to any Police Officer, community support officer or authorised person as soon as reasonably possible or in any event within 24 hours of the request being made/and shall be in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software; and o There shall be a notice on site at all times giving the name and contact number of a member of management whom the police and authorised officers can contact to gain access to the CCTV images
The licence holder will at all times maintain adequate levels of staff. Such staff levels will be disclosed, on request, to the Police and Licensing Authority.
Signage will be displayed at the exit of the premises requesting customers leaving the premises late at night to do so quietly and with consideration so as not to disturb nearby residents.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter on: a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i) operation of the Challenge 25 scheme; ii) types of acceptable ID; iii) method of recording refusals; and iv) likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; and c) proxy sales: Such training shall be recorded a version of which must be in English and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
A book, or other form of record, a version which must be in English, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances of the following: a) any refusal made relating to the sale of alcohol and/or any age restricted product; and b) any disorder, rejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premise. This book or record shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection immediately upon demand by any police or community support officer or authorised person. Management shall frequently check the book to ensure all staff are using it.
Prominent notices will be displayed at points of sale advising customers that they may be asked to provide evidence of age.
The provision of late night refreshment shall be served via a night hatch.
Spirits (with the exception of spirit mixers and premixed spirit drinks) will be located behind the counter.
The Premises Licence holder shall be permitted to display bulk stacks, wine towers and chilled promotional offerings throughout the store that may not necessarily be shown on the plan. The locations may be subject to change but will be contained within the red lined licensable area shown on the plan attached to the Premises Licence. The display of bulk stacks will not be located where they may impact on the ability of customers to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
