Additional Steps Taken to Promote the Four Licensing Objectives:
General:-
Remove all embeded restrictions inherent in the Licensing Act 1964
The types of regulated entertainments proposed re-instate and then enhance the normal pub entertainments that were previously unregulated, with the benefit to enhance the local facilities for social entertainments and reduce the focus on alcohol.
No new steps have been identified by risk assessment in relation to the four licensing objectives, except as below.

The Prevention of Crime and Disorder:-
Providing a 30 minute "wind down" period after the end of the sale of alcohol will promote this objective as the last drink will be consumed less quickly with the access to the pubs toilet facilities and the provision of non-alcohol refreshment during this period.
Customers will be encouraged not to take glasses and bottles outside during the "wind down" period. All staff receive drugs awarness training as part of their introduction. My assessment identifies no risk of crowding.
Public Safety:-
The management undertake an annual fire risk assessment
The Public House is fitted with adequate fire lighting and lit exit routes
Adequate smoke detectors are installed and in operation.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance:-
Live music will only be staged in the bar area
Recorded music volume will be reduced to background level during "wind down" period to create a mood change.
The Protection of Children from Harm:-
The restrictions set out on a Licensing Act 2003 will apply
No unusual risks of harm to children have been identified
A notice reminding parents to supervise their children at all times are in place throughout premise and play equipment.

As advised by the Fire Authority, the maximum permissible number of persons that may be present within the area indicated as used for licensable activities at one time must not exceed 60.
No music to be played in or transmitted to the outside area, except during the 6 "External Event Days"
At least 10 working days notice to be given of the "External Event Days" to the Police, Licensing Authority and local residents
All windows and doors to be closed, except for egress and ingress by 21.30 hours during live music
Means of communication with the Licensee to be made available
Suitable and conspicuous notices to be displayed at all entrances, exits and the car park in appropriate places reminding patrons it is a residential area and to leave quietly
Outside areas to be closed by 22.00 hours except during the 6 "External Event Days" when it will be closed by 22.30 hours.
No children allowed in the building except for access to the garden area and for the purposes of using the toilet facilities, unless a no smoking area is separated by a closed door from smoking area is provided
Accompanied children allowed in the garden area until 21.00 hours.
