Licence conditions (9)

a) The prevention of crime and disorder
1. A multi camera CCTV system will be installed that complies with the following:
a. Cameras are sited to observe the entrance and exit both inside and outside. The camera on the entrance will capture full frame shots of the head and shoulders of all persons entering the premises. b. Cameras in the till area will capture frames not less than 50% of its screen. c. Cameras overlooking floor areas will be wide angled to give an overview of the premises. d. All cameras will provide good quality colour images and be capable of identifying the subject matter. The Cameras will operate under existing light levels inside and outside the premises. e. A CD/DVD burner, USB type device or media storage database (i.e. Cloud) will also form part of the system to facilitate making copies of the footage. All footage will provide a linked record of the date, time and place of the image. f. If the head unit (recorder) is kept on the premises it must have a monitor to view images and be located in a secure cabinet or other secure area, preferably out of the sight and reach of the public. g. The system will be maintained to ensure correct operation of the system. h. All Images must be retained for a minimum period of 31 days before overwriting. i. The images will be made available in reasonable time on demand by the Police.
b) Prevention of public nuisance
1. Clear and legible notices will be prominently displayed to remind customers to leave quietly and have regard to the neighbours.
c) The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The premises shall operate a challenge 25 style policy. Anyone attempting to purchase alcohol who appears under the age of 25 years shall be required to produce valid photo ID (such as a photo card driving licence, passport or PASS accredited age verification card) to prove they are 18 years or older. Failure to produce acceptable ID shall result in a refusal of the sale.
2. A refusals register will be kept (hard copy or electronic), where by refused sales of alcohol will be recorded.
3. All staff involved in licensable activity shall receive training relating to age verification, the licensing objectives and laws relating to the sale of alcohol. This training shall be given at the start of employment (prior to carrying out any licensable activity) and be refreshed regularly.
