Licence conditions (24)

These conditions are subject to the provisions of the Live Music Act 2012 General Conditions
The Licensee will ensure that all staff receive training to a high standard and certainly to those of the relevant legislation. Crime and Disorder
The licensee will monitor requirements for door supervisors and will take into account any advice offered by the police.
The Licensee/DPS will actively participate in a local Pubwatch/Nightsafe scheme(s) (or similar) where such a scheme operates within the locality of the premises.
The Licensee will provide/install and maintain CCTV equipment at the premises in full working order. All recordings will be retained for at least 28 days and will be made available to an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority or Police on demand.
The Licensee will not adopt any drink promotion activities that undermine a policy of responsible drinking. Public Safety
The Licensee will ensure that a health & safety incident reporting system will operate during the hours that the premises are open to the general public. Prevention of Public Nuisance
The Licensee will ensure that adequate steps are in place to ensure that customers leave the premises quietly.
All windows to those parts of the premises used for the provision of regulated entertainment shall be kept closed whilst there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a karaoke or disco is being played.
All windows to those parts of the premises used for the provision of regulated entertainment shall be at a minimum double-glazed or provided with permanent internal secondary-glazing units. The specification of the double-glazing or the permanent secondary-glazing units be approved in writing by the Head of Health. The double- glazing or the permanent secondary-glazing units shall be installed prior to any regulated entertainment being permitted. An Environmental Health Officer shall visit the premises to ensure that this work has been appropriately carried out.
The internal door to the public bar, the internal lobby door to the reception area and the internal door to the lounge bar shall be kept closed at all times, other than access and egress, when there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a karaoke or disco is being played.
Whilst there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a karaoke or disco is being played indoors, the rear elevation conservatory door shall remain closed for the duration of the event and they shall not be used for access or egress to the external beer garden area, other than for emergency evacuation purposes.
Suitable signs shall be affixed to both sides of the rear elevation conservatory doors to state that they shall not be used for access or egress to the external beer garden area, other than for emergency evacuation purposes, whilst there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a karaoke or disco is being played.
Whilst there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a karaoke or disco is being played, all access and egress to the external beer garden area shall be through the left hand side elevation entrance door.
The volume of any amplification system used in connection with any form of regulated entertainment shall be such that noise levels are non-intrusive at the boundaries of nearby residential properties.
In the event that additional ventilation is found to be necessary to those parts of the premises used for the provision of regulated entertainment, a detailed scheme shall be submitted to the Head of Health for approval, and only an approved scheme shall installed at the premises and shall be retained and maintained in the approved form thereafter.
There shall be no use of the external beer garden areas after 00.30 hours, other than the use of a designated smoking area (as shown on the plan - ‘The White Horse Hotel, Leiston, Premises Licence Variation, Area for the supply of alcohol, plan dated 04.04.13) which can be used until 01.00 hours. This condition is agreed upon the condition that the residential property to the left hand side of The White Horse Hotel, that is No. 2 Station Road, Leiston, remains in the ownership of The White Horse Hotel.
The Designated Premises Supervisor shall not be the named Designated Premises Supervisor for any other licensed premises.
There shall be no performance of live music, either amplified or unamplified, in any part of the external beer garden at any time. There shall be no playing of recorded music, either amplified or unamplified, in any part of the external beer garden at any time. There shall also be no means of broadcasting live or recorded music played indoors to any part of the external beer garden at any time.
Prominent clear notices shall be displayed at all exits requesting that customers respect the needs of local residents and leave the premises and surrounding area quietly.
An agreed complaints procedure will be implemented after written approval by the responsible authority. Each complaint must be entered into a logbook held on reception. The entry must document the date, time and nature of the complaint that was lodged. All members of staff are to be informed that any complaint must be referred to the Designated Premises Supervisor or, in his/her absence, to another member of the management staff who is on duty at the time the complaint is made. All complaints must be dealt with, and as necessary, appropriate action taken.
All staff are to be trained as to the importance of the conditions endorsed on the premises licence and their responsibilities under the same conditions made clear. Protection of children from harm
The Licensee will ensure that children are accompanied at all times by an adult while they are on the premises.
No adult entertainment will be permitted at the premises.
