Licence conditions (12)

Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
The licence holder shall ensure all staff are trained in responsible alcohol retailing. This training can be done in house and the training records should be kept on the premises and must be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the local authority or an authorised member of Suffolk Constabulary immediately upon request. This training must be updated every six months. All staff will receive training so that they are aware of the premises licence and the requirements to meet the four licensing objectives with attention to: No selling of alcohol to underage people No drunk and disorderly behaviour in the premises area Vigilance in preventing the use of illegal drugs at the retail area No violent and antisocial behaviour No harm to children The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system. CCTV will cover all public areas where licensable activities take place, including entry and exit points. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 30 days with date and time stamping. Recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of Police or an Authorised Officer. A staff member who is able to operate the system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open to the public. This staff member will be able to show recordings to Police or an Authorised Officer with minimum delay when requested and be able to download video onto a disc or memory stick, which can be played back on a computer or other digital retrieval system, within 24 hours of a request for download. The CCTV system will be regularly checked to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
The premises licence holder will ensure that staff on duty will be responsible for managing of any anti-social behavior at the premises, report any relevant information to the Police.
The licence holder shall ensure that a refusals register will be maintained at the premises to record all refused sales. The entry for each refused sale will be entered into the register within one hour of the refusal taking place and will show the date, time and the description of the refused person and must show the details of the person refusing the sale. Each entry will be kept in the register for a minimum of 12 months and must be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the local authority or an authorised member of Suffolk Constabulary immediately upon request. The premises licence holder shall ensure that all Firefighting equipment is regularly serviced and clear Fire exit signage is in place.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that all spillages are cleared promptly. The prevention of public nuisance
The premises licence holder shall display signage at the entry and exit doors advising customers to respect residents, leave quietly, not to loiter outside the premises or in the vicinity and to dispose of litter legally.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that empty glasses and bottles, or other drinking vessels shall be regularly collected to ensure no accumulation in areas where the public have access.
The premises licence holder will ensure that the disposal of bottles and glass will not be carried out after closing at 10pm.
The premise licence holder shall ensure the premises and grounds surrounding the area are kept clear of litter. The protection of children from harm
The premises licence holder shall ensure a Challenge 25 policy will be implemented requiring all customers who appear to be under the age of 25 to produce photographic identification in the form of a passport, driving licence or proof of age scheme (PASS) approved identification, before alcohol can be supplied or sold to them. All staff will be instructed, through training, that alcohol cannot be supplied or sold unless valid identification is produced. The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices are prominently displayed in the premises to advise patrons and staff that a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme operates in the premises.
