The age verification scheme operated at the premises for both sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises and for the sale and supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises shall be Challenge
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s)/and inside at the premises bar servery area.
The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale and supply of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) EU/UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded.
The "challenge book", or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand. The challenge book must be carried by a personal licence holder when deliveries to customers homes are made.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every year thereafter on. a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i. operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. method of recording challenges; iv. likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; Such training shall be recorded a version of which must be kept in English and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
Where a customer aged 18 years or over indicates that they are purchasing alcohol for a 16 or 17 year old to drink with their meal, the 16 or 17 year old shall also be required to produce a valid proof of age.
There shall be no adult entertainment provided at the premises.
The sale or supply of alcohol for consumption off the premises shall be restricted to customers who simultaneously purchase a meal with a minimum value of £15.00.
Any alcohol delivered to a customer?s home must be undertaken by a personal licence holder who would operate the Challenge 25 scheme and in the event of no acceptable identification being produced would withhold the delivery of any alcohol.
