For the purpose of paragraph 6(8) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 this licence is subject to the effect of restrictions contained in the Licensing Act 1964 and the Children and Young Persons Act 1933,which include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Intoxicating liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises otherwise than to persons taking table meals there and for consumption by such a person as an ancillary to his meal;
ii) Suitable beverages other than intoxicating liquor (including drinking water) shall be equally available for consumption with or otherwise as an ancillary to meals served in the premises.
iii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the hours authorised under this licence, however this restriction does not prohibit:
During the first thirty minutes after the authorised hour the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied for consumption as ancillary to the meal;
Consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale of supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises;
iv) No child shall be employed:
So long as he is under the age of fourteen years;
To do any work other than light work;
Before the close of school hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
Before seven o'clock in the morning or after seven o'clock in the evening on any day;
For more than two hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
For more than two hours on any Sunday;
Five hours in any day on which he is not required to attend school, and which is not a Sunday;
For more than thirty-five hours or, if he is under the age of fifteen years, for more than twenty-five hours in any week in which he is not required to attend school;
For more than four hours in any day without a rest break of one hour; or
At any time in a year unless at that time he has had, or could still have, during a period in the year in which he is not required to attend school, at least two consecutive weeks without employment.
a) Where there is provided in any building an entertainment for children, or an entertainment at which the majority of the persons attending are children, then, if the number of children attending the entertainment exceeds one hundred, it shall be the duty of the person providing the entertainment to station and keep stationed wherever necessary a sufficient number of adult attendants, properly instructed as to their duties, to prevent more children or other persons being admitted to the building, or to any part thereof, than the building or part can properly accommodate, and to control the movement of the children and other persons admitted while entering and leaving the building or any part thereof, and to take all other reasonable precautions for the safety of the children; and
Where the occupier of a building permits, for hire or reward, the building to be used for the purpose of an entertainment, he shall take all reasonable steps to secure the observance of the provisions of this section.
vi) No person under the age of sixteen years, and no child aged sixteen years, shall take part in any performance to which section 37(2) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1963 applies, and in which his life or limbs are endangered.
vii) No child under the age of twelve years shall be trained to take part in performances of a dangerous nature, and no child who has attained that age shall be trained to take part in such performances except under and in accordance with the terms of a licence granted and in force under section 24 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933.
Sale by retail of alcohol
Together with for the purposes of paragraph 6(5) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 all other licensable activities which may be carried out at the premises by virtue of the justices licence issued under the Licensing Act 1964 and existing as of the date of this licence, which include but may not be limited to the following:
Public entertainment may be provided by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts or of programme included in any other service (within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990) other than a sound or television broadcasting service, or public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound;
ii) Private entertainment, that is to say dancing and music, may be provided and promoted for private gain;
iii) The provision and consumption of late night refreshment for a period of 30 minutes after the hour permitted for the supplv of alcohol.
