Licence conditions (1)

The premises shall operate a CCTV system – cameras covering all areas of the Spar store. The staff shall be full trained and most shall have obtained BIIAB level 2 certificate. All staff shall receive ‘in house’ training on the sale of alcohol and shall be retrained as a minimum every 12 weeks. The premises shall have a ‘due diligence’ policy and shall undertake test purchases. The scanning system shall prompt the staff to check the age of the customer when the alcohol is purchased. Public safety measures shall be maintained in good working order, and their adequacy shall be determined on a regular basis by carrying out a risk assessment. Safe occupancy levels shall be maintained. The premises shall operate a Refusal book, and also a ‘due diligence’ recording system by way of the till, in relation to age restricted products. An ‘age checking’ report shall be made available in store where refusals of service have been made. The premises shall operate ‘Think 25’ policy. Sales shall only be made to 18-25 year olds on production of approved identification. Alcohol shall not be kept near to the front entrance.
