Licence conditions (21)
- There shall be a sufficient number of staff on the premises to cover.
- A digital colour, CCTV system shall be installed to cover the premises and this will record coverage including all internal and external areas to which the public have access to consume alcohol.
- The CCTV system will be maintained, be working and recording at all times when the premises are open.
- The CCTV recordings shall be of good evidential quality to be produced in a Court or other such hearing and of sufficient quality to permit the facial identification of all individuals entering the premises. The following shall apply a. Copies of the recordings will be kept available for any Responsible Authority for 28 days Subject to Data Protection requirements. b. Copies of the recordings shall be made available to any Responsible Authority within 48 hours upon request Subject to Data Protection requirements. c. Copies of the recordings will display the correct time and date of the recording. d. It is the responsibility of the management to ensure that there are sufficient members of staff available during the hours of operation to be able to download evidence from the CCTV system at the request of the police or responsible authority.
- Documented records shall be kept for a minimum of one year of all staff training and will be made available immediately upon a reasonable request from any Responsible Authority. Documented training shall be refreshed at intervals no greater than 12 month intervals.
- Both Refusals and Incident Report registers shall be kept for at least 1 year and they will be made available immediately upon a reasonable request from any Responsible Authority.
- This premises will actively participate in the Keswick Pub Watch Scheme.
- The licence holder will ensure the number of people entering and leaving the premises is checked and ensure that once the maximum occupancy is reached, no further persons are admitted.
- The licence holder or people authorised by them will check the premises before it opens to the public to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place.
- The licence holder will ensure that all staff receive appropriate training about emergency and general safety precautions and procedures. The licence holder will ensure that all staff are aware of their social and legal obligations and their responsibilities regarding the sale of alcohol.
- All bottles and glasses and rubbish shall be removed from public areas on a regular and frequent basis.
- An adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials available on the premises.
- Suitable and conspicuous notices shall be displayed at entrances and exits requesting patrons to minimise noise and when leaving.
- Alcoholic drinks purchased on the premises may only be taken off the premises in sealed containers.
- All windows and external doors shall be kept closed between the hours of 2200 and 0900 or at any time when regulated entertainment takes place, except for the immediate access and egress or persons.
- No noise shall emanate from the premises that gives rise to a nuisance.
- The Challenge 25 scheme must be operated to ensure that any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall provide documented proof that he/she is over 18 years of age. Proof of age shall only comprise a passport, photo card driving licence, an EU/EEA national ID card or similar document, an HM Forces warrant card, a card bearing the PASS hologram, or any electronic or biometric age verification technology approved by the licensing authority.
- The premises shall display prominent signage indicating at any point of sale and at the entrance to the premises that the Challenge 25 scheme is in operation.
- All staff authorised to sell alcohol shall be trained in: Relevant age restrictions in respect of products Preventing underage sales Preventing proxy sales Enter sales correctly on the tills so the prompts show as appropriate (if relevant) Training must include evidence that the trainee has gained knowledge and understanding of the training, which may consist of a test or quiz, completed by the trainee.
- Documented records of training completed shall be kept for each member of staff. Training shall be regularly refreshed and at no greater than 12 monthly intervals. Training records shall be made available for inspection upon request by a police officer or an authorised officer.
- A refusals record must be kept at the premises which details all refusals to sell alcohol. This record must include the date and time of the incident, the name of the staff member who refused the sale, and the reason the sale was refused. All entries must be made within 24 hours of the refusal. The record must be made available for inspection and copying following of a request by an officer of a Responsible Authorities.
