The management team and DPS shall ensure all staff receive regular training about the responsible sale of alcohol, with written guidance and management support available on the premises at all times. The training and guidance shall specifically address: what the four licensing objectives are trying to achieve in practice, with a focus on the needs of our community; what the implications are for our business and responsibilities regarding the sale of alcohol. This will include what staff can and should do to prevent the over-consumption of alcohol and any aggressive behaviour due to this; the specific responsibilities and processes that relate to the sale of alcohol for each individual’s role.
The DPS shall ensure there are processes and allowances in place for monitoring performance and blind-testing, to make sure everyone is selling alcohol responsibly.
The DPS shall ensure they are aware of current best practice, and staff shall feedback on areas of improvement.
The site shall be assessed for CCTV.
There shall be sufficient lighting inside and outside the premises.
Music shall be kept to an appropriately low level. Staff will be trained to take action and reduce noise levels where necessary.
A “Challenge21” policy shall be followed. The management team shall monitor and blind-test this. This shall be covered in all induction training.
