Licence conditions (11)

Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
The premises licence holder will ensure all staff engaged or to be engaged in the sale of alcohol on the premises shall receive training in age restricted sales. 1.1 Induction training must be completed and documented prior to the sale of alcohol by the staff member. 1.2 Refresher/reinforcement training must be completed and documented at intervals of no more than 6 months. 1.3 Training records will be available for inspection by a police officer or other authorised officer on request. The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises licence holder shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system. CCTV will cover all public areas where licensable activities take place, including entry and exit points. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 31 days with date and time stamping. Recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of Police or an Authorised Officer. A staff member who is able to operate the system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open to the public. This staff member will be able to show recordings to Police or an Authorised Officer with minimum delay when requested and be able to download video onto a disc or memory stick, which can be played back on a computer or other digital retrieval system, within 24 hours of a request for download. The CCTV system will be regularly checked to ensure that it is functioning correctly
The premises licence holder shall ensure there is communication with Suffolk Constabulary with regards to the precise positions of the camera and may be agreed, subject to compliance with Data Protection legislation.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that an incident register shall be maintained to record: - all incidents of crime and disorder occurring at the premises - details of occasions when the police are called to the premises This register shall be available for inspection by Suffolk constabulary or another authorised officer on request.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that all cashiers will be trained to record refusals of sales of alcohol in a refusals register. The book/register will contain: - details of the time and date the refusal was made; - the identity of the staff member refusing the sale; - details of the alcohol the person attempted to purchase. This register shall be available for inspection by Suffolk constabulary or other authorised officer on request.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that there shall be no self-service spirits except for spirit mixtures. Public safety
The premises licence holder shall ensure that there will be adequate levels of staff at the premises to ensure safety of those at the premises, such staff levels will be disclosed, on request, to the licensing authority and Suffolk Constabulary. The prevention of the public nuisance
The premises licence holder shall ensure there is adequate waste receptacles for use by customers will be provided in and immediately outside the premises.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that there will be notices prominently displayed at all exits requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and businesses and leave the area quietly. The protection of children from harm
The premises licence holder shall ensure a Challenge 25 policy will be implemented requiring all customers who appear to be under the age of 25 to produce photographic identification in the form of a passport, driving licence or proof of age scheme (PASS) approved identification, before alcohol can be supplied or sold to them. All staff will be instructed, through training, that alcohol cannot be supplied or sold unless valid identification is produced. The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices are prominently displayed in the premises to advise patrons and staff that a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme operates in the premises.
