Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
The premises licence holder shall ensure that by monitoring, reviewing updating their policies and procedures they will ensure that the licensing objectives are met.
The premises licence holder will ensure that the branch manager shall be trained to the minimum standard of Highfield Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (or equivalent)
The premises licence holder will ensure that the society has in place Polices for regular training of its employers to prevent the sale of alcohol to those under the age of 18 years
The premises licence holder will ensure a challenge 25 policy (including the completion of an assessment) and a record of such training shall be retained at the society head office shall be made available to the Police and an authorised Officer of the Licensing Authority on demand, Staff shall receive refresher training every 6 months to ensure that they are up to date with the latest legislation and polices. The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises licence holder shall install and maintain a recordable CCTV system capable of providing pictures of evidential quality, cameras shall (where permitted) encompass all ingress and egress from the premises including fire exits, outside areas (Where possible) and all working areas where the sale/supply of alcohol occurs. 1.1 The CCTV system within the premises shall be remotely monitored 24 hours a day by the Society’s control centre, time and date marked and retained for no less than 20 days, the footage shall be made available to the police and Local Authority within 36 hours of their request. (It should be noted that any retention, use or disclose of personal information captured on CCTV must be carried out in line with data protection principles.) 1.2 Suitable signage shall be displayed and maintained on the licensed premises advising customers that CCTV is in operation.
The premises licence holder shall ensure records of refusals shall be kept and maintained on the premises.
The premises licence holder shall ensure records of reported accidents and age assessments are maintained off site at Whersted Park, Ipswich Suffolk.
The premises licence holder shall ensure that all records shall be time and date marked, which shall be made available to police and an authorised officer of the licensing authority on demand.
The premises licence holder shall ensure electronic point of sale prompt system is in place to automatically prompt the till operator to verify the age of the customer whenever alcohol is served.
The premises licence holder shale ensure that sales of alcohol are not to include any super strength larger beers or ciders where the strength exceeds 6.5% ABV (Alcohol by volume) This restriction shall not apply in respect of specialist branded, premium priced products, Such as craft sales, local or microbrewery specialist products, boxed gift on national celebratory or commemorative beer lager or cider. The store manager retains responsibility for the premises whilst it is open with a wider management team to support and deputise in their absence. The premises licence holder shall ensure all bespoke polices, process and procedures and risk assessment are enforced to ensure and maintain the health and safety, welfare and security of employers and the public whilst the premises is open for licensable activities The prevention of public nuisance
The premises licence holder will take action to alleviate public nuisance on and in the immediate vicinity of the premises by means of properly considers hours of operation during which alcohol and other age-related products will be sold to the public. The Protection of children from harm
The premise licence holder shall adopt a Challenge 25 proof of age scheme,
The premises licence holder will require its employees to actively challenge any individual who wishes to purchase alcohol or any other age-related product but appears to be under 25 years of age (challenge 25) to prove their age by means of photographic identification.
The premise licence holder shall operate a requirement for the production of a passport, UK photocard Driving licence, PASS accredited Photocard, British Armed Forces Identity Card or National Identification card where the individual requesting the supply of alcohol appears to be under the age of 25.
