Licence conditions (22)

Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
General Conditions
Stewards will be trained in first aid and safeguarding. Training records will be maintained and will be available to the police or any Responsible Authority when requested.
Additional medical staff will be engaged when neceassry.
All staff engaged in the sale of alcohol will be trained in Responsible Retailing This training can be administered in-house and training shall be recorded and produced to the Police/Local Authority on request. Crime and Disorder
A Challenge 25 policy will be implemented requiring all customers who appear to be under the age of 25 to produce photographic identification in the form of a passport, driving licence or proof of age scheme (PASS) approved identification, before alcohol can be supplied or sold to them. All staff will be instructed, through training, that alcohol cannot be supplied or sold unless valid identification is produced. The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices are prominently displayed in the premises to advise patrons and staff that a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme operates in the premises.
Trained stewards and point of sale staff will be present at each event to manage attendance, prevent overcrowding and keep ingress and egress routes clear.
All drinks will be served in shatterproof, recyclable containers.
Police and emergency services will be notified of events in advance.
Signage will be provided to outline expected standards of conduct.
An Incident log will be kept during all events, recording all incidents and refusals of the sale of alcohol. It will be made available to an authorised officer of the Police or Council on request. Public Safety
Each event will have a written Risk Assessment and Event Management Plan.
Toilet facilities and free portable water will be available whenever alcohol is being sold.
A designated welfare area will be available at all events for any persons in distress and lost children.
Temporary structures and equipment wil be safely installed and inspected.
Emergency access routes will be maintained.
Provide the Food and Safety Team with the name, address and contact details of the promoter/organiser of any events to be held at the premises at least 90 days before the event.
Supply the Food and Safety Team with an Event Management Plan applicable to the event at least 28 days before event.
Any changes to the event management plan that are made within 28 days of the event must be brought to the attention of the Food and Safety Team at East Suffolk Council.
Supply the Food and Safety Team with health and safety risks assessments applicable to the event at least 28 days before event.
All temporary structures will have current sign off certificates
The event organiser must ensure that all food outlets are registered with a local authority. Prevention of Public Nuisance Protection of Children from Harm Challenge 25 will be operated at all events and clear signage will state that Challenge 25 is in operation.
