General - all 4 licensing objectives:
· We have carefully considered the risks and benefits associated with the extra hours and other variations applied for and do not believe that any additional measures are necessary to promote the licensing objective.
· We will continue to train our staff to the standards required by relevant legislation.
· The style and operation will not differ significantly during the extended hours. The additional hours sought will of themselves promote the licensing objectives as stated in paragraph 3.29 e.g. the Guidance, in allowing customers to emerge from the premises at a more gradual rate.
· We will continue to observe all conditions on existing licences for the additional hours of trading. The prevention of crime and disorder:
· Encourage customers to leave quietly
· Liase regularly with the police
· The current level of lighting outside the premises will continue for the additional hours of trading
· Any person who appears to be intoxicated will not be allowed entry to the premises
· The premises will participate in the local pub watch or equivalent scheme
· We take our obligations under the existing legislation seriously. However the nature and the operation will not alter significantly during the additional hours and no further measures are considered necessary to promote this Licensing Objective

The protection of children from harm:
· We admit children under the age of 18
· We require proof of age in appropriate cases
· We have a non-smoking area
· Children only permitted when accompanied by an adult and for the purposes of partaking of meals and non alcoholic drinks
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority:
Public Safety:
· As advised by the Fire Authority, the maximum permissible number of persons that may be present within the area indicated as used for licensable activities at one time must not exceed 140, broken down to 60 in the lounge area and 80 in other licensed areas.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance:
· The license holder or anyone involved in the organisation of entertainment (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
· All doors and windows (on the façade(s) of the building) which is the subject of this consent, shall be kept closed at all times during entertainment events, except when access is required to/from the premises.
· The garden to be cleared by 23.00 hours from Monday to Saturday and by 22.30 hours on Sundays.· No more than 30 outdoor live music events in any 12 month period.
· No amplified music to be played in or transmitted to the outside areas.
· A contact telephone number to be made available.
The Protection of Children from Harm:
· Accompanied children to be allowed on the premises in no smoking areas which must be separated by a closed door from smoking areas except for exit and entry and use of the toilet facilities.
