Licence conditions (31)

a) General - all four licensing objectives
1. The designated premises supervisor shall co-ordinate sales of alcohol.
2. Staff shall be trained on licencing laws.
3. There shall be a current public liability insurance policy and it shall be displayed for public inspection.
4. Alcohol shall only be consumed within the designated coffee shop area and garden.
5. Toilet and welfare facilities shall be maintained and kept clean and tidy at all times.
b) Prevention of crime and disorder
1. A HD quality CCTV and intruder alarm system shall be installed with staff trained in its operation. Tapes of recordings will be kept for 28 days. "CCTV in operation" signs will be placed in full view of customers.
2. Sufficient staff will be on site to supervise guests.
c) Public safety
1. The premises shall be kept well maintained and in a clean and tidy condition.
2. The fire alarm procedure shall be tested regularly.
3. Fire escape routes shall be kept clear and well signed.
4. A first aid kit shall be available on site at all times. There shall always be qualified first aid staff on site.
5. All equipment and services shall be regularly maintained and checked by qualified staff.
6. Good lighting shall be provided within the building and for exterior areas on leaving the premises.
7. Rubbish and litter shall be regularly cleared.
8. The number of people attending events shall not exceed the limits set by the local authority.
9. All furnishings shall be fire retardant.
10. Access for emergency vehicles shall be kept clear at all times.
11. Good access shall be maintained at all times for disabled guests
d) The prevention of public nuisance
1. Windows and doors shall be kept closed to prevent excess noise.
2. Bottles bins and rubbish bins shall only be emptied between 08.00 and 22.00.
3. The licence holder shall ensure people leave the premises quietly.
4. Notices advising customers to respect the neighbouring public shall be displayed.
5. Rubbish and litter shall be regularly collected from around the site and disposed of in a suitable manner.
6. Outdoor lighting shall be adjusted so it does not cause nuisance to the area surrounding the tea rooms.
e) The protection of children from harm
1. A proof of age policy agreed by the police and local authority shall be implemented. Customers shall be asked for ID to confirm age.
2. All children shall be accompanied by a responsible adult.
