LICENSING OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982:
Public music and dancing and public entertainment of the like kind on weekdays between the hours of 12.00hrs and 00.00hrs. Musical entertainment only on Sundays between the hours of 16.30hrs and 22.00hrs.
This Licence is subject to the provisions of the said Act, to the Regulations and Conditions now or from time to time made by the local Council and to any Additional Conditions included on this Licence.
Additional Conditions
1) The electrical installation shall be inspected at least once in every five years, or such lesser period as is considered appropriate to the individual case, by a competent electrical engineer appointed by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises and a certificate stating the condition of the installation shall after each inspection, be forwarded to the Council by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises.
2) The number of persons (excluding staff and attendants) to be allowed at any one time in the licensed premises shall not exceed:
Lounge bar - 65 persons
3) The permitted hours of public use under the Licence are varied as follows:-
Monday to Saturday - 12.00hrs to 23.00hrs
Sunday - 12.00hrs to 15.00hrs or 19.00hrs to 22.30hrs
4) Not less than fourteen days notice shall be given to the Licensing Authority of any proposed event taking place in the garden under the terms of this licence.
5) The licence holder shall provide the Council with the contact details (name and telephone number etc) of the licence holder or anyone else involved in the organisation of the event, who can be contacted whilst the premises are open.
6) Admission to all parts of the licensed areas shall be given at all reasonable times, either during or other than during an event, to authorised officers of the Pollution Team, even without prior notice.
7) The licence holder or anyone involved in the organisation of entertainments (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
8) All doors and windows of the building, which is the subject of this consent, shall be kept closed at all times during the entertainment events, except when access is required to/from the premises.
9) The inner front entrance door to the premises shall not be fixed in the open position during any public entertainment event.
10) No external loudspeaker systems shall be installed without the prior approval in writing of the Environment and Health Department.
Additional Steps Taken to Promote the Four Licensing Objectives:
General:-
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.

As advised by the Fire Authority, the maximum permissible number of persons that may be present within the area indicated as used for licensable activities at one time must not exceed 100, broken down to 65 in the lounge bar and 35 in the other bar area (the den).

No children in the bar at any time except for access to the garden and toilet facilities
Accompanied children allowed in the garden only up to 21.00 hours.
