Licence conditions (35)

For the purpose of paragraph 6(8) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 this licence is subject to the effect of restrictions contained in the Licensing Act 1964 and the Children and Young Persons Act 1933,which include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the hours authorised under this licence, however this restriction does not prohibit:
During the first twenty minutes after the authorised hour the consumption of alcohol on the premises
During the first thirty minutes after the authorised hour the consumption of alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied as an ancillary to the meals;
During the first twenty minutes after the authorised hour the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
The consumption of alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the licensed premises;
The ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the dispatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
The sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club;
The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces;
The taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there;
The supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person residing there who are bona fide entertained by him at his own expense, or the consumption of alcohol by persons so supplied; or
The supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to persons employed there for the purposes of the business carried on by the holder of the licence, if the alcohol is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
ii) Alcohol shall not be supplied or sold unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied:
With and for consumption at a meal supplied at the same time, consumed with the meal and paid for together with the meal;
For consumption by a person residing in the premises or his guest and paid for together with his accommodation;
To a canteen or mess.
iii) No person under fourteen shall be in the bar of the licensed premises during the hours when alcohol may be sold or supplied, unless one of the following applies:
He/she is the child of the holder of the Premises Licence;
He/she resides in the premises, but is not employed there;
He/she is in the bar solely for the purposes of passing to or from some other part of the premises which is not a bar and to or from which there is no other convenient means of access or egress;
The bar is in railway refreshment rooms or other premises constructed, fitted and intended to be used bona fide for any purpose to which the holding of the licence is ancillary.
(Note: In this condition 'bar' includes any place exclusively or mainly used for the consumption of intoxicating liquor. But an area is not a bar when it is usual for it to be, and it is, set apart for the service of table meals and alcohol is only sold or supplied to persons as an ancillary to their table meals).
iv) No child shall be employed:
So long as they are under the age of fourteen years;
To do any work other than light work;
Before the close of school hours on any day on which they are required to attend school;
Before seven o'clock in the morning or after seven o'clock in the evening on any day;
For more than two hours on any day on which they are required to attend school;
For more than two hours on any Sunday;
Five hours in any day on which they are not required to atte
The gaming machines shall be monitored by staff to ensure that they are not played by persons under the age of 18 years
Clear and legible signage shall at all times be prominently displayed at all exit doors reminding patrons to leave quietly and with consideration to local residents
Where live or recorded is played announcements shall be made at the end of the evening reminding patrons to leave quietly and with consideration to local residents
Signs shall be posted at the bars prohibiting the direct or indirect supply or delivery of alcohol to children
Before the variations authorised by this licence (sale of alcohol after 23:00 hours Monday to Saturday and after 22:30 hours on Sunday and provision of regulated entertainment) take effect, the licensee shall confirm in writing to the Licensing Authority that the following matters have be addressed and all necessary works completed, including providing copies of all necessary certificates - A check be made of the electrical installations by a qualified electrical engineer. Any defects found should be rectified without delay and a certificate issued upon completion to show conformance with the latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations - The emergency lighting system needs to be repaired or replaced in its entirety. A qualified electrical engineer should issue a certificate to show compliance with BS 5266 Part 1 for the system design and BS EN for illumination levels. Thereafter a certificate shall be provided to the Licensing Authority on an annual basis
