The management and staff are fully compliant with all four licensing objectives.
The prevention of crime and disorder:
The management and staff ensue that all necessary steps are taken to prevent crime and disorder including the following:
Any customers carrying open or sealed bottles or glasses are not admitted at anytime.
No customers are permitted to take open containers of alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises; all bottles and galsses are removed from public areas and tables as soon as they are finished with or empty. Furthermore the management ensures that at no time the number of persons allowed into the restaurnant exceed the capacity limits. Also there are no irresponsible drinking promotions. A policy is in force with the management of large groups, such groups are required to nominate a responsible person to liaise with staff. Alcohol is not served to any person under the age of 18. An incident book is kept at the premises to record details of all incidence of public disorder.
Public Safety:
In addition to all the steps taken for the prevention of crime and disorder listed above the following additional measures are in place to ensure public safety as follows:
Fire safety - all exit doors are easilty openable without the use of a key. The premises ; means of escape are maintained unobstructed, immediately available and clearly identifiable with fire exit signs clearly marked and also the exit doors are regularly checked to ensure that they function satisfactorily. Access is provided for emergency vehilces and this access will be kept clear and free from obstruction. The fire brigade will be called to any outbreak of fire, however slight. When diabled people are present, adequate arrangements will exist to enable their safe evacuation in the event of an emergency.
First Aid - adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials will be available on the premises. Designated no smoking area is available for customers wishing to be separated from smoking, a no smoking rule at the bar is in place. Overcrowding is not allowed in any part of the premises.
The Prevention of public nuisance:
In addition to the steps taken listed at paragraphs A, B and C above the following provisions are in place to ensure the preventions of public nuisance. Offensive odours are not ommitted beyond the boundary of the premises. Flashing of bright lights ae only placed in positions that do not cause a nuisance to neighbours. All further steps are taken by management and staff to ensure that noise levels are kept to a minimum and also loitering outside the premises is not allowed.
The protection of children from harm:
In addition to all the steps taken as detailed above in paragraphs A, B, C and D, the following measures will be taken to protect children from harm as follows:Alcohol is not served to anyone under the age of 18 even if they are accompanied by adults, Also a proof of age policy is in place. Groups of customers with children will always be given priority to dine in th e non-smoking part of the restaurant.
