Licence conditions (23)

Annex 2 - Conditions consistent with the operating schedule
a) General - all four licensing objectives
1. The Licence Holder will train staff in the standards required by the relevant legislation and as required by company policy.
b) The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The Licence Holder will monitor the need for door supervisors and in doing so will take into account any advice given by the Police
2. The manager will actively participate in and support local the Pub Watch scheme (where active)
3. Toughened glass will be used in the premises.
4. A digital CCTV system shall be installed at the premises and maintained in good working order and used at all times when the premises are open for licensable activities. Any CCTV footage shall be kept for at least 28 days and shall be available to the Licensing Authority or Police upon reasonable request. A member of staff who can operate the system shall be on duty when the premises are trading.
c) Public Safety
1. The Licence Holder will have extensive policies and practices to meet its Health & Safety obligations.
d) The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Reasonable steps will be taken to recognise the rights of local residents and to encourage customers to leave the premises quietly.
2. Managers will liaise with local neighbours where they are aware of any reasonable concerns and will seek to resolve them.
3. No external loudspeaker systems shall be installed without the prior approval in writing of the Environmental Health Department
4. Where amplified music from regulated entertainment has been assessed by EHO as likely to adversely impact upon the Public Nuisance objective then if directed by EHO the following steps shall be taken:-
a. A noise limiting device shall be installed at the premises and shall be effectively maintained and operated. The limiting device shall have a sound level meter which is set at a predetermined sound loading and shall include a visual warning device which allows the operator to reduce the sound output level, or automatically reduce the sound level, or incorporate a switch off power supply for a predetermined delay period.
b. The DPS or anyone involved in the organisation of regulated entertainment (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
c. Where amplified regulated entertainment is performed at the premises then the outer doors and windows of the building shall be kept closed during such time except for access and egress.
e) The Protection of Children from Harm
1. No adult entertainment (paid for by the company of a nude physical nature) is permitted at the premises.
2. A "Challenge 21" policy will be implemented and any person wishing to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 21 shall be asked to produce an acceptable form of identification (photographic driving licence, international passport, a PASS hologrammed/ultraviolet feature card, Military ID card).
Annex 3 - Conditions attached after a hearing by the licensing authority
