Licence conditions (14)

These conditions are applicable only in relation to the variation to the Maidstone Leisure Centre Premises Licence for the event known as 'After Hours' , taking place at Maidstone Leisure Centre between 22.00hrs on Saturday the 28th of September and 06.00hrs on Sunday the 29th of September 2013.
The Event Management Plan, Stewarding Plan, Traffic Management Plan, Noise Management Plan, Risk Assessments and associated documents for the event know as 'After Hours' will be included within the documents for the 'Social Festival 2013'.
In addition to the above, the following conditions will be applied to the 'After Hours' event:-
At least 14 SIA qualified staff will be employed on site during the event.
All staff involved in security or crowd management during the event will have access to a two way radio for effective communication with each other. An appropriate number of radios will also be supplied to Leisure Centre staff on duty during the event.
Proper training will be given to all staff (including leisure centre staff) with access to the radio system so that all persons are able to communicate with each other effectively.
All staff involved in security or crowd management during the event will receive a full briefing prior to the event so that they are fully aware of the building layout. Such a briefing shall include a walkthrough of the areas of the building which are accessible by event goers.
At an appropriate time before the event opens, the whole area being used during the event will be thoroughly searched to ensure that nothing has been planted within the building for recovery during the event. This will include the emptying of bins within the area.
After the last customer has left the premises the whole area used during the event will be thoroughly searched again to make sure that nothing potentially harmful is left within the venue. This search will cover any area that was accessed by event goers or performers.
A personal licence holder will be on site during the event.
Operational details of this event including Stewarding Plans will be referred to in the main Event Management Plan for the Social Festival.
'Challenge 25' shall be in operation during the event where Photographic ID shall be requested from any person who appears to be under the age of 25 years and is attempting to purchase alcohol.
Only a valid UK Passport, UK Driving Licence photocard, or accepted photgraphic ID wth the PASS logo shall be accepted as proof of age.
Signs will be displayed requesting departing customers respect the local area and neighbours and leave the site quietly.
