Licence conditions (24)

The first floor should be limited to a maximum occupancy figure of 60 persons, to meet the requirements of Approved Document B of the Building Regulations.
No alcohol to be consumed off the premises.
Window to be kept closed at all times except in the event of an emergency.
Rear fire door to be kept closed except in the event of an emergency.
Noise emitting from the premises shall at no time cause disturbance to local residents.
The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents.
There shall be placed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public (or member and their guests) notices pointing out the needs of local residents and the need to leave the premises and the area quietly. (Note: this may also include reference to vehicles.)
The licence holder will conduct regular assessments of the number of persons in the licensable area. If applicable the licence holder shall take steps to reduce numbers to an acceptable level.
A sound assessment be carried out by Environmental Health and that assessment to be agreed with Allerdale Borough Council before the variation can take effect.
External doors and windows All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency.
Noise assessments The licence holder or his representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
Lobby entrance All entrances and exits have a lobby entrance with at least one set of doors closed at all times to minimise the breakout of noise.
Electrical Installation Testing The electrical installation shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person. A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an officer of the authority.
RCD Each socket outlet circuit or individual socket outlets used for public entertainment shall be protected by an integral residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA (0.03 amps). Every such circuit and residual current device shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person. A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority.
First Aid There shall be maintained on the premises at all times an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials for the use of customers.
During hours that the premises are open to the public, staff at the premises shall carry out checks at 15 minute intervals at the front of the premises monitoring behaviour and any drinking outside. Any finding shall be recorded in a specific incident book.
A 'hard drive' CCTV system is installed covering all internal public areas and the frontage of the premises including the footway and front door area. Images to be recorded on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis with the images retained for a minimum of 31 days. Images to be provided to any Responsible Authority Officer (i.e. police, fire service Local Authority Officer)

Any entertainment within the venue that goes beyond the hour of 2030 shall be supervised by a minimum of two SIA registered door staff. The DPS shall carry out a suitable risk assessment to determine whether such door staff are required for entertainment ceasing at 2030 and if so shall employ them accordingly.
No person under 18 shall be allowed into the ground floor bar area of the venue unless it is to pass for the purposes of access directly into the area identified as the Function Room. Any child aged between 14-18 using the function room for the purposes of playing snooker must be accompanied by an adult of at least 21 years of age. Any items required for the Function room, i.e. snooker hall, must be collected by a person over the age of 18.
No child under 14 shall be allowed into the venue at any time.
The area immediately outside the venue shall be supervised at least 4 times per hour by a responsible member of staff. This shall be recorded on a daily log.
Polycarbonate receptacles only, NO GLASS, must be used on Bank Holidays, Public Holidays, the day locally known as “Mad Friday”, on any date when the event known as “Uppies and Downies” is taking place and during any private function.
The area identified as the function room on the first floor of the venue shall not be used for the licensable activities of sale of alcohol or regulated entertainment whilst it is being operated as a snooker hall.
