  1. The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
  2. The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) UK photo driving licence; or d) military ID card.
  3. A book or other form of record shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. This book shall be kept, detailing all refused sales of age restricted products or incidents at the premises. The log should include the date and time of the refused sale/incident and the name of the member of staff who refused the sale or witnessed the incident.
  4. The "challenge book" or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English shall be kept on the premises and made available for inspection by any police or community support office or authorised person upon demand.
  5. Notices advertising that the premises operate Challenge 25 shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position inside and at the entrance to the premises.
  6. All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every six months thereafter on: a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: i. operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; ii. types of acceptable ID; iii. method of recording challenges; iv. likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sales; d) the operation of the CCTV equipment; Such training shall be recorded, a version of which must be kept in English and these records shall, on request, be made available to any relevant authority or authorised personnel.
  7. A Personal Licence Holder shall be present at all times whilst licensable activities are taking place.
  8. At least two members of staff shall be on duty in the shop from 20:00 hours until closing time.
  9. The CCTV system shall be of an agreed format that can be viewed on Metropolitan Police systems and shall record all entrances and exits to the premises at all times. CCTV recordings shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days. At all times that licensable activity is being carried out, there shall be on the premises a person able to operate both the CCTV system and to download footage on request onto DVD's, memory sticks or other appropriate media provided by the venue. The CCTV serving the premises shall be working at all times that licensable activities are taking place at the premises.
  10. There shall be at least two external CCTV cameras recording 24 hours a day fitted to the front fascia of the premises to assist staff in identifyinig persons loitering in the immediate vicinity of the premises.
  11. The Designated Premises Supervisor shall monitor any anti-social behaviour by checking the CCTV.
  12. There shall be a management policy in place to take into account external area of premises.
  13. There shall be no self-service of spirits on the premises.
  14. No spirits shall be sold or displayed from the premises with a greater abv than 65%.
  15. Alcohol shall be kept away from the confectionary shelf/counter.
  16. Prominent signage indicating the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol shall be displayed so as to be visible before entering the premises, where alcohol is on public display and at the point of sale.
  17. Notices shall be prominently displayed at all exits requesting patrons to respect the needs of local residents and leave the area quietly.
