Where licensable activities are to be provided outdoors public access to the river bank shall be restricted. Details of the method of restriction and the manner in which it will be put into effect shall be submitted in writing to the Licensing Authority before the authorisation of outdoor licensable activities takes effect.
When licensable activities are to be provided outdoors and children under 12 years of age are in attendance, the restricted access to the river bank shall be patrolled by one or more stewards. The stewards shall be on duty from the time the restricted access comes into effect until all such children have left the premises. Where no such children are present, this condition shall not apply.
Where licensable activities are to be provided outdoors the duty of the stewards is to refuse access to the restricted area to those children who appear to be or are known to be less than 12 years of age.
The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 21" scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 21 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) EU/UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority A book or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the ?Challenge 21? scheme shall be recorded.
The "challenge book", or other form of record, a version of which must be kept in English, shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and twice a year thereafter on the responsible retail of alcohol which shall include: a) Operation of the ?Challenge 21? scheme so as to prevent underage sales; b) Types of acceptable ID; c) Method of recording challenges; d) The likely consequences of making an underage sale; e) Refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; and f) Proxy sales. Such training shall be recorded and these records a version of which must be kept in English shall on request be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
Alcohol shall only be served to those patrons either: a) purchasing food at The Tea Rooms; or b) attending a pre-planned ticketed event.
The sale and supply of alcohol after 6pm shall be restricted to ?ticketed? events only.
No adult entertainment shall be provided at the premises.
