Licence conditions (12)

The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV images/recordings shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and shall be made available for viewing by any police, community support officer or authorised Council officers upon demand.
An original, or a copy, of CCTV images/recordings shall be provided upon demand to any police, community support officer or authorised Council Officers. Copies shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason.
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and the only ID accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photo driving licence; or d. a military ID card
A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The "challenge book", or other form of record, shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised Council officers upon demand.
Signs shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position, both inside and outside of the premises, warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under 18 years of age.
Each sale of alcohol made on the premises shall be placed in a carrier bag on which the name and address of the premises is prominently displayed.
All containers of alcohol sold shall be marked with a label identifying the premises.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on the refusal of sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk and the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: o Operation of the "Challenge 25" Scheme o Types of acceptable ID o Method of recording challenges o Likely consequence of making an underage sale Such training shall take place on induction, and at least twice a year thereafter. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police, community support or authorised Council officers immediately upon demand.
All containers of alcohol sold shall be accompanied by a receipt showing the name and address of the premises.
