All alcohol to be displayed and sold at the premises shall be kept behind the counter and NOT available for self service.
Alcohol shall only be sold to patrons purchasing food to the minimum value of £10.00.
The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
The premises shall operate in accordance with the Challenge 25 scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID. Notices advertising that the premises operates a Challenge 25 scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance and inside at the premises bar servery area. The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b passport; c Photo driving licence; or
A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the Challenge 25 scheme shall be recorded. These records must be kept in English and made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter. This training, to prevent underage sales, shall include : i. Operation of the Challenge 25 scheme; ii. Types of acceptable ID; iii. Method of recording challenges; iv. Likely consequence of making an underage sale. v. Refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; vi. The operation of the CCTV equipment; Such training shall be recorded, a version of which must be kept in English, and these records shall, on request, be made available to any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
Alcohol must only be delivered to a residential or business address.
Staff shall keep records of all alcohol deliveries in English, and, upon request, make these available for inspection by the Police, Licensing Authority or Trading Standards for six months from the date of delivery, or refusal, of alcohol.
All forms of advertising dealing with the delivery service shall clearly state that alcohol shall only be delivered upon production of a valid form of identification when approved ID is required and that failure to do so will result in the non-delivery of alcohol.
No alcohol shall be sold, served or supplied unless ordered and paid for at the same time as food.
The CCTV system serving the premise shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of alcohol; c. ensure that recordings show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made; d. all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days e. CCTV recordings shall be made available for viewing by any police officer, community support officer or authorised person upon demand; f. The original recording, or a copy , shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person; and g. copies of recordings shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
Staff shall carry out a litter patrol immediately outside of the premises.
All persons delivering orders shall receive full training in selling alcohol, approved forms of ID, Challenge 25 policy and dealing with conflict. Also, all staff shall be fully trained and understand the Licence Holders policy of non delivery when approved ID is not provided.
