The prevention of crime and disorder
A tamper proof CCTV system will be maintained at the premises and shall be used to record, during all hours that a licensable activity takes place on the premises and shall be operated as follows: i. This will be used to record images to assist in the identification of individuals during all hours that the premises are open to the public. ii. There shall be a minimum of one high-resolution camera fitted in a weatherproof housing, for external coverage of any entrance. iii. There shall be a minimum of one high-resolution colour camera fitted to the public entrance/exit to provide a quality head and shoulder image for facial recognition/identification purposes of all persons entering the premises. iv. The images recorded by the CCTV system shall be retained in unedited form for a period of not less that 31 days (subject to the Data Protection Act 1998). These will be available for inspection by authorised officers of the council and any police officer. A member of staff trained how to work the CCTV and be able to download the content must be on duty during opening hours. v. If the CCTV becomes non-functional this will be reported immediately to the Licensing Authority. Public Safety
An incident book (either electronic or handwritten) shall be kept at the premises, in which details of crime and/or disorder relating to the premises shall be recorded. The incident book shall contain the following details: i. The time, date and location of the incident. ii. The nature of the incident. iii. The names, addresses and contact details of persons involved (if available). iv. The result of the incident. v. Actions taken to prevent further such incidents. vi. Each entry shall be signed if handwritten and digitally noted if electronic by the DPS or other responsible person employed at the premises and so authorised by the DPS.
The incident book or electronic records shall be made available to police upon request. Each entry shall be retained for a period of 12 months from the date of completion.
All crimes committed within the premises shall be reported to the police. The prevention of public nuisance
Notices will be clearly displayed within the premises, stating that it is an offence for any person over 18 years to purchase alcohol for anyone under 18 years.
A register of refusal of alcohol – either handwritten or electronic – will be maintained at the premises. The register will be made available to all authorities on request. The protection of children from harm
A Challenge 25 policy shall be implemented and proof of age policy is to be applied with the accepted means of proof of age being the following: i. Passport ii. Photo driving licence iii. A recognised valid photo-ID card bearing the PASS hologram
Maintain strong management controls and effective staff training on the four licensing objectives.
No selling of Alcohol to underage people.
No drunk or disorderly behaviour on the premises or surrounding area.
No violent and or anti-social behaviour will be allowed on the premises or local area.
No harm will be allowed to children or vulnerable people.
There shall be a clear challenge 25 policy to prevent underage drinking. Photo ID shall be required for all purchases of alcohol where those persons appear to be under 25.
CCTV system shall be used to monitor and record shop and policy and procedures on site. The CCTV system is installed and will be maintained to monitor the shop/reception as well as point of sale and till area to help prevent crime and disorder.
A clear sign shall be displayed outside of the premises indicating the normal opening hours and terms of sale in the licenced premises.
A clear policy of no illegal drugs use in the premises or grounds shall be implemented.
Staff shall be trained to carry out underage ID checks.
A logbook and or record will be kept of all responsible shop staff and personal licence holders working on site and/or those responsible for sale of alcohol or managing the premise’s policy etc. Records of all training and monitoring of staff training shall be kept.
These records will be kept for inspection by persons authorised by the licencing act of 2003 or associated legislation.
There shall be a strict policy on arrival and departure times for guests, preventing noise at unsociable times.
Guests are requested to maintain a low level of noise after 9.00pm and no noise at all after 11.00pm. Loud music shall not be played at any time and there shall be no music after 9.00pm
We shall demand good levels of conduct by all our guests including loud noise, bad language and the use of noisy equipment or vehicles
We shall not allow unaccompanied minors on the site or large single sex groups.
These policies are set out within our terms and conditions which are sent to lead guests via email at the time of booking. These policies are implemented by the managers and site wardens on site.
