Licence conditions (23)
- CCTV shall be installed on the premises showing correct date and time information.
- The CCTV will cover internal public areas, the garden, the front of the premises, car park, smoking area, outdoor seated area, entrance doorway and entrance to main hotel. The CCTV shall provide images of good quality in all lighting conditions and shall capture frontal images of people entering and exiting the premises. The premises licence holder must ensure the CCTV is in good order and regularly maintained and that staff are able to make copies available at the request of the Police or other authorised licensing authority on request and, in any case within 24 hours. CCTV footage must be retained for a minimum of 31 days.
- The Premises Licence Holder shall ensure the CCTV recording system is checked daily to ensure it is operating correctly, any faults are to be recorded in a logbook with the date and time an engineer has been called to repair the fault and to also record the immediate notification of the fault to the premises licence holder by staff.
- The logbook shall be available to inspection by a police officer or a responsible officer.
- The Premises Licence Holder shall ensure that when an event takes place, or there is live or recorded music (other than background music) and on New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve a risk assessment shall be completed to decide if additional measures are required to promote the licensing objectives.
- Staff training shall be undertaken on staff appointment and updated every 6 months.
- Training delivered to staff shall be recorded. Training shall cover: • The licensing objectives • The requirements for ID as part of age verification. • Dealing with an intoxicated person, or a drug related incident. • Dealing with disorderly incidents/disorderly persons • Recording of any refusal to sell alcohol. • Recording of incidents • Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults • Reporting of incidents to police and information to be shared with police to promote • Provide first aid training to staff and ensure adequate first aid equipment is available • All training records will be available to an authorised officer on request.
- An incident log shall be maintained on the premises documenting the date and time of any incidents involving the premises which could undermine the four licensing objectives. This shall be completed within 24 hours of the incident, be available upon request of a police officer or an authorised officer and will record the following: • All crimes reported at the venue. • Any incidents of disorder • Persons banned from the premises.
- Complete a Risk assessment to decide whether S.I.A. operatives are employed particularly during peak hours or for events known to attract larger crowds.
- Develop and enforce policies on preventing crime and disorder, including procedures for dealing with incidents and preserving crime scenes.
- Policies will be in place to address issues related to excessive alcohol consumption and its impact on behaviour and public nuisance.
- There shall be a record of any refused sale of alcohol. The refusal register shall be inspected on a regular basis (at least weekly) by the DPS.
- Procedures will be put in place to prevent the sale and supply of alcohol to children.
- The Premises Licence Holder shall adopt a 'Challenge 21/Challenge 25' policy on the premises, with signage clearly displayed to the public. Staff will ensure ID is checked in accordance with the policy.
- An environment will be created to prevent children being exposed to inappropriate content or activities. There will be sufficient competent staff on duty to supervise the premises and prevent children from being harmed
- Staff shall monitor customers smoking outside the front of the premises and in the beer garden areas on a regular basis and ensure patrons do not cause a public nuisance.
- The external areas will be maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
- We will also erect signs inside and out requesting our Patrons to leave the Premises in a quiet fashion and to respect our Neighbours.
- The maximum number of customers allowed to be outside the front of the premises to smoke at any one time shall not exceed 10 persons.
- The outside area will be vacated by drinking Patrons by 22.45 and only smokers will be allowed to use this area.
- Install and regularly maintain emergency lighting systems and ensure they are in good working order.
- Ensure fire safety signs are adequately illuminated and that procedures are in place for evacuation.
- Conduct regular fire drills and ensure staff are trained in evacuation procedures
