Licence conditions (23)

Exhibition of Films
The admission of children, that is persons under 18 years of age, to the exhibition of any film shall be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) or by Bexley Council.
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and the only ID accepted in respect if the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photo driving licence d. Other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority.
On nights when the licence requires a door supervisor to be on duty at the premises each door supervisor shall be provided with a hand held metal detector wand which shall be operative.
The CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV images/recordings shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and shall be made available for viewing by any police, community support or authorised council officers upon demand.
An original, or a copy, of the CCTV images/recordings shall be provided upon demand to any police, community support or authorised council officer officers. Copies shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason. ( CONDITIONS 1 TO 6 ABOVE WERE IMPOSED BY THE COUNCIL'S LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE ON 27 MAY 2008 )
The use by customers of external areas of the premises shall not be permitted after 23:30 hours, except the front patio area, which may be used by customers for smoking only.
Clear and legible notices shall be displayed advising customers as to the times and permitted use of the external areas and requesting customers to keep noise to a minimum.
A member of staff shall be on duty to monitor compliance with the use of the patio of the premises.
No licensable activities shall be permitted on the patio of the premises.
Where regulated entertainment is provided at any time during the night hours (23:00 hours to 07:00 hours the following day) noise from the regulated entertainment shall be inaudible at the façade (façade meaning the elevation or elevations of buildings used for habitation that face towards the premises) of nearby residential premises.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall, on induction and at least every six months thereafter, receive training on: a. operation of the Challenge 25 scheme; b. types of acceptable ID c. method of recording challenges; d. likely consequence of making an underage sale; e. refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; and f. proxy sales.
All challenges made under the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded, and such records shall be made available for inspection by any police or community support officer or authorised person upon demand.
No children under the age of 18 years shall be allowed to remain on the premises after 20:00 hours on any day of the week.
There shall be no new admissions or re-admissions to the premises after 23:00 hours on Fridays and Saturdays or when door supervisors are present and on Sundays to Thursdays there shall be no new admission or readmission after 23:30 hours or when door supervisors are present.
A door supervisor, registered with the Security Industry Authority (SIA), shall be on duty from 22:00 hours until the dispersal of all patrons from the premises whenever music events are taking place.
The doors and windows that open onto the terraces to the front and side of the premises shall be kept closed from 22:00 hours whenever music events are taking place.
The patio area does not form part of this licence and therefore must not be used for the provision of regulated entertainment.
The area to be used for dancing shall be maintained clear of furniture and obstruction.
Amplified music and speech to be inaudible at the boundary of the nearest residential accommodation.
Notices shall be prominently displayed at the premises requesting patrons to "please leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner with due regard to local residents".
