The age verification scheme operated at the premises shall be Challenge
The premises shall operate in accordance with the Challenge 25 scheme. This means that whilst alcohol may be sold to person aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
Notices advising the premises operates a Challenge 25 scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s) and inside at the premises till.
The only forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a) Proof of age card bearing the "PASS" hologram logo; b) Passport; or c) EU/UK photo driving licence.
A book, or other form of record, a version which must be in English, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances of the following: a) any refusal made relating to the sale of alcohol and/or any age restricted product; and b) any disorder, ejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premise. This book or record shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection immediately upon demand by any Police or Community Support Officer or authorised person. Management shall frequently check the book to ensure all staff are using it.
A CCTV system will be in place at site. The system shall record on motion only and shall: o be maintained, fully operational and in good working order at all times; o make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; o show an accurate date and time that the images were made; and o all images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and all the original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided to any Police Officer, Community Support Officer or authorised person as soon as reasonably possible or in any event within 24 hours of the request. o There shall be a notice on site at all times giving the name and contact number of a member of management whom the police and authorised officers can contact to gain access to CCTV images.
The original or a copy of the CCTV images shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
The physical location of alcohol displays shall be in an area within sight and supervision of staff as identified on the plan of the premises annexed to the licence.
The following alcoholic beverages shall be placed behind a staffed counter: (a) Beers or Ciders over 6% a.b.v; and (b) all spirits (with the exception of spirit mixers and pre-mixed spirit drinks).
The Premises Licence Holder shall be permitted to display bulk stacks, wine towers and chilled promotional offerings throughout the store that may not necessarily be shown on the plan. The locations may be subject to change but will be contained within the red lined licensable area shown on the plan attached to the premises licence. The display of bulk stacks will not be located where they may impact on the ability of customers to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
Branded carrier bags will be offered with all sales of alcohol.
No single cans or bottles of beer and cider will be sold.
Signs shall be displayed inside and outside of the premises warning adults that it is an offence to buy alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18.
All staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall receive training on induction and every 6 months thereafter on:- a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include: (i) operation of the "Challenge 25" scheme; (ii) types of acceptable ID; (iii) method of recording refusals; (iv) likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk; c) proxy sa
