Licence conditions (26)
- Where a premises licence authorises the sale of alcohol, the licence must include the following conditions:
- The George is a Community Pub and will be welcoming users on the basis of inclusivity and accessibility meaning that an above average number of users will benefit from its facilities. Careful attention will be paid to maintaing this approach and ensuring that the physical facilities.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure all staff and volunteers are trained in responsible alcohol retailing. This training can be done in house and the training records should be kept on the premises and must be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the local authority or an authorised member of Suffolk Constabulary immediately upon request. This training must be updated every six months.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure there is a up to date usage policy in place for the third party hirings in respect of the activity room.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that the level of staff and volunteers is commensurate with occupancy and events. The prevention of crime and disorder
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that an incident log will be maintained at the premises to record all incidents. The entry for each incident will be entered into the register within one hour of the incident taking place and will show the date, time and a description of the incident. Each entry will be kept in the register for a minimum of 12 months and must be made available for inspection by an authorised officer of the local authority or an authorised member of Suffolk Constabulary immediately upon request.
- The premises shall install and maintain a comprehensive CCTV system. CCTV will cover all public areas where licensable activities take place, including entry and exit points. The CCTV system shall continually record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and when customers remain on the premises. All recordings shall be stored for a minimum period of 30 days with date and time stamping. Recordings shall be made available immediately upon the request of Police or an Authorised Officer. A staff member who is able to operate the system shall be on the premises at all times when the premises are open to the public. This staff member will be able to show recordings to Police or an Authorised Officer with minimum delay when requested and be able to download video onto a disc or memory stick, which can be played back on a computer or other digital retrieval system, within 24 hours of a request for download. The CCTV system will be regularly checked to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
- The premises licence holder will ensure that a dispersal policy is in place for the premises including the activity room, keeping it under review and updating as necessary and made available for inspection by Responsible Authority officers.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that there are no tobacco sales or gaming machines on the premises. Public Safety
- The premise Licence Holder shall ensure that lighting is provided outside the premises during the hours of darkness when any licensable activity takes place on the premises. All lighting on or outside the premises will be positioned in such a way as to not cause a disturbance.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that empty glasses and bottles, or other drinking vessels shall be regularly collected to ensure no accumulation in areas where the public have access.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that Fire and Emergency Evacuation procedures are in place including staff training, systems and equipment maintenance and record keeping.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure the occupancy level is enforced for the activity room.
- The premises licence holder will ensure all relevant risk assessments for all bookings and events will be completed.
- The premises licence holder will ensure that the kitchen extraction system shuts down at 21:15 hours daily. The Prevention of public nuisance
- The premises licence holder shall ensure noise is controlled in the activity room with a permanent noise warning device in place.
- The premise licence holder shall ensure that there are regular litter checks in all outside areas.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that there are no bottle/glass transfers to bins after 21:00 hours.
- The premises licence holder will ensure that there will be no deliveries between 21:00 and 09:00 hours Monday to Sunday and none at all on Sundays and Bank Holidays. The protection of children from harm.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure a Challenge 25 policy will be implemented requiring all customers who appear to be under the age of 25 to produce photographic identification in the form of a passport, driving licence or proof of age scheme (PASS) approved identification, before alcohol can be supplied or sold to them. All staff will be instructed, through training, that alcohol cannot be supplied or sold unless valid identification is produced. The premises licence holder shall ensure that notices are prominently displayed in the premises to advise patrons and staff that a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme operates in the premises.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure a strict process for admission to the exhibition of a film subject to BBFC Film Classification Certificate
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that the is a current Safeguarding policy in place at all times with regular training for all staff and volunteers.
- The premises licence holder will ensure that there will be no unaccompanied children under the age of 16 years old allowed on the premises
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that no food or drink will be consumed in the beer garden after 9pm. After 9pm the beer garden will be a designated smoking area only.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that there is adequate signage (which includes an A3 size near the access door to the beer garden and A5 signs on every outdoor table) in the beer garden that reminds patrons that this is a residential area and to respect neighbouring residents.
- The premises licence holder shall ensure that all members of staff will have adequate training in the retail and supply of alcohol and upholding the licensing conditions. The premises licence holder shall ensure that there is a nominated member of staff when the DPS is not present.
