General Conditions
The Licensee will ensure that house managers/staff are adequately trained to deal with illegal activities anti-social behaviour and the protection of children from harm. Crime and Disorder
The Licensee will ensure that the premises is adequately supervised at all times it is open to the general public: either personally or by a manager or fully trained member(s) of staff.
The Licensee will ensure that house managers/staff are adequately trained on dealing with illegal activities and aggressive customers.
The Licensee/DPS will actively participate in a local Pubwatch/Nightsafe scheme(s) (or similar) where such a scheme operates within the locality of the premises.
The Licensee will provide and maintain a burglar alarm in good working order.
The Licensee will ensure that empty bottles and glasses are collected regularly both inside and outside the licensed premises.
The Licensee will ensure that outside lighting is provided and used during the hours of darkness when any form of licensable activity is taking place. Public Safety
The Licensee will regularly inspect and maintain any play equipment provided.
The Licensee will ensure that regular health & safety meetings are held and regular risk assessments undertaken, and that appropriate steps are taken to minimise any problems identified.
The Licensee will ensure that the following systems are maintained and inspected by a suitably qualified professional person in accordance with the appropriate British Standard an at intervals recommended in national guidance, and will keep the records of such inspections available for inspection by authorised officers on request: Electrical installation Emergency lighting systems Fire alarm systems Portable fire fighting equipment
The Licensee will ensure that all exits and escape routes are clearly identified, kept free from obstruction and available for immediate use in the event of an emergency during licensable activities.
The Licensee will not adopt any drink promotion activities that undermine a policy of responsible drinking. Prevention of Public Nuisance
The Licensee will take the appropriate steps (e.g. signage and/or sufficient staff on site) to ensure that customers behave in a quiet manner when using the outside area(s) of the premises and when departing.
The Licensee will ensure that adequate waste bins are provided, and emptied on a regular basis.
The Licensee will carry out regular checks inside/outside the premises and clear any litter.
The outside drinking areas shown highlighted on drawing number 6490-LP1 and dated 08/12/04 attached to the application shall not be used after 23:00 hours for any form of regulated entertainment or for the comsumption of alcohol.
After 23:00 hours all windows to those parts of the premises used for the provision of regulated entertainment shall be closed when there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a disco, karaoke or jukebox is being played.
After 23:00 hours all external doors to those parts of the premises used for the provision of regulated entertainment shall be kept closed, other than for access and egress, when there are performances of live music and when recorded music from a disco, karaoke or jukebox is being played.
The volume of the amplification system for any description of musical entertainment shall be strictly controlled so that noise levels are non-intrusive at the boundaries of nearby residential properties.
The performance of live music outdoors shall take place on no more that 5 occasions in any one calendar year. On such occasions the performance of live music shall finish no later that 23:00 hours.
The playing of recorded music from a disco, karaoke or jukebox outdoors shall take place on no more than 5 occasions in any one calendar year. On such occasions the playing of recorded music shall finish no later than 23:00 hours. Protection of children from harm
The Licensee will ensure that children are accompanied at all times by an adult while they are on the premises.
The Licensee will ensure that all members of staff at the premises will seek PASS accredited proof of age cards, photo-driving licences or passports as proof of age evidence from any person who appears to be under the age of 18 and who is seeking to purchase or consume alcohol on the premises.
The Licensee will ensure that children will be supervised in the play area by a responsible adult at all times.
