Conditions carried over from the Licensing Act 1964 (Club Registration Certificate) and also:
S.49(3) Licensing Act 1964: There shall be no alteration of the rules of hte club without the consent of the [licensing authority] so as to authorise sales of intoxicating liquor not already authorised under the rules except such sales as permitted by S.49(4) of the Act.

Throughout the year the cricket club committee plan a varied social calendar which includes all forms of regulated entertainment and entertainment facilities (save boxing and wrestling) at times fixed within the stated hours on an ad hoc basis.
None are used with any regularity of frequency and all activities ae subject to the control of the committee.
Music and voice may be amplified or unamplified and none are used with any regularity of frequency and are subject to the club rules which exclude members of the public and are subject to the control of the committee. On the very infrequent occasions that regulated entertainment takes place outdoors music and ammplifeid voice will cease no later than 23.00hours other than on an 'event' day (see non standard timings).
A temporary stage may or may not be used and when an event takes place outdoors a temporary cover may or may not be erected.
These temporary structures may take a varity of forms for example tents could be used and may vary between a large marquee or a domestic gazebo.
For all regulated entertainments (except boxing and wrestling) the club will stop serving alcohol at a pre-arranged time no later than the finish time so the club can be closed at a half hour after.
Food may be provided at any time at all regulated entertainments (except boxing and wrestling).
Non standard timings: To permit the activity on bank holiday Sundays, Christmas Eve and Boxing Day and on a maximum of 10 other occasions per year 'event days', finishing at 03.00. The licensing authority and the police will be notified not less than 1 month in advance of any such 'event' days.

General - all 4 licensing objectives:
The variation applied for is only to allow the club to continue as before and provide regulated club and family entertainments that were previously unregulated. The club will continue to be run by an elected committee on behalf of members under the terms of the club rules.
Compliance by members is assured by the fact that is a private members club who are subject to the rules of the club lodged with the application to convert.
On all occasions the clubhouse will close 30 minutes after these stated times.
No new steps have been identified by risk assessment in relation to the 4 licensing objectives except as set out below.
The prevention of crime and disorder:
A list of taxi cab services si prominently displayed by the telephone.
Any member that is granted permission by the club committee to hold a private function must supply the club with a list of names (identifying any U18s) of guests attending no later 48 hours prior to the event.
Permission will not be given to any member for a birthday party between the ages of 18 and 25.
Public safety:
No risk of crowding has been identified as a maximum of 60 are allowed in the club house.
The prevention of public nuisance:
The club is situated approx 100 yards from the nearest residential building.
All external windows and doors will be closed no later that 11.00hours.
The club has a good relationship with is neighbours and no complaints regarding events have ever been received.
The club will notify its immediate neighbours no later than 1 month in advance of a planned 'event day' where music or amplified voice will be played outdoors after 23.00hrs.
The protection of children from harm:
The club rules prevent the sale or consumption of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years. In cases of doubt, the membership data base can be assessed to verify age, and in the case of further doubt adn in any other case proof of identity and age will be sought
The club has a Child Protection Policy as recommendd by the England and Wales Cricket Board and follows their guidelines concerning child welfare. The club has an appointed Child Welfare Officer and Junior Organisers and Coaches have all had CRB checks undertaken.
