Licence conditions (15)

Music noise levels in external areas shall be maintained at a background level.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency.
The licence holder or his/ her representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of these assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
Notices will be displayed at all exits from the premises in a place where they can be seen and easily read by the public requiring customers to leave the premises and the area quietly. (Note: This may also include a reference to vehicles)
A small range of alcoholic drinks shall available (select wines, bottled or canned beers and spirits) to be consumed with or after a meal.
All staff will be fully trained in their responsibilities with regard to the sale of alcohol, and will be retrained every six months, with recorded training records kept for inspection. Alcohol will only be served to guests who are dining with us.
As a small family friendly bistro we will take crime and disorder very seriously and the licensee shall ensure that disorderly conduct shall be dealt with appropriately. Any incidents that may occur on site of a criminal nature will be reported to the police immediately.
Staff will be trained to be alert to any potential danger to customers and react accordingly. If they are unable to quickly defuse the situation without risk to customer or staff, then they are instructed to call the police.
All relevant fire procedures are in place for a premises of this size, and the business has been fully fire risk assessed. An on-site accident book will be in operation to record any accident/ injury incurred on the premises. See attached site plan for locations of fire extinguishers, fire blankets etc.
Entrance/exits will be kept clear of obstructions at all times.
Our guests will be asked to leave quietly and with respect for local residents. There will be signs by the entrance/exit to remind them of this as they leave.
Our last seating for diners is 8.30pm so we anticipate guests will be leaving the premises by 10.30pm at the latest.
Any recorded/unamplified live music outdoors will be at low volume and will finish by 10pm.
We will operate a Challenge 25 policy and the licensee and staff shall ask for photographic ID for anyone who appears under the age of 25 (Challenge 25 POS will be on display). Acceptable forms of photographic ID include passport, photographic driving license, proof of age cards, Connexion card, Citizen Card and an official identity card issued by HM forces or by an EU country bearing a photograph and date of birth.
Staff will be trained in Challenge 25 and underage sales prevention, and records of any refusals shall be kept in a book which will be made available for inspection by the police or licensing officers of the council on request.
