Licence conditions (26)

Challenge 25 training shall be provided for all staff by the DPS or a third party.
An SIA risk assessment shall be conducted for events and public and bank holiday openings.
SIA security provision shall start on 1 SIA per 50 attendees.
An incident book and refusal book shall be maintained.
All staff shall be trained in Violence Against Women and Girls process using a scheme such as “Ask for Angela”.
The licence holder or their representative shall conduct regular assessments of the noise coming from the premises on every occasion the premises are used for regulated entertainment and shall take steps to reduce the level of noise where it is likely to cause a disturbance to local residents. A written record shall be made of those assessments in a log book kept for that purpose and shall include the time and date of the checks, the person making them and the results including any remedial action.
All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency.
No refuse, including bottles, shall be disposed of from the premises into a receptacle where such disposal is likely to cause a disturbance to residents in the area of the premises at any time between 8pm and 8am on any day except Sunday when no such disposal shall take place before 10am.
The Challenge 25 scheme must be operated to ensure that any person who appears to be under the age of 25 shall provide documented proof that he/she is over 18 years of age. Proof of age shall only comprise a passport, photo card driving licence, an EU/EEA national ID card or similar document, an HM Forces warrant card, a card bearing the PASS hologram, or any electronic or biometric age verification technology approved by the licensing authority.
The premises shall display prominent signage indicating at any point of sale and at the entrance to the premises that the Challenge 25 scheme is in operation. All staff authorised to sell alcohol shall be trained in:  Relevant age restrictions in respect of products  Preventing underage sales  Preventing proxy sales  Enter sales correctly on the tills so the prompts show as appropriate ( if relevant)
Training must include evidence that the trainee has gained knowledge and understanding of the training, which may consist of a test or quiz, completed by the trainee.
Documented records of training completed shall be kept for each member of staff. Training shall be regularly refreshed and at no greater than 12 monthly intervals. Training records shall be made available for inspection upon request by a police officer or an authorised officer.
A refusals record must be kept at the premises which details all refusals to sell alcohol. This record must include the date and time of the incident, the name of the staff member who refused the sale, and the reason the sale was refused. All entries must be made within 24 hours of the refusal. The record must be made available for inspection and copying following a request by an officer of a Responsible Authority.
Staff will carry out regular Challenge 25 training and also be trained on maintaining a log of refusals and keeping due diligence records.
Low key issues shall be reported and where possible the report shall be shared using police-approved initiatives such as the Maryport SchemeLink app.
A CCTV system shall be installed throughout the premises with appropriate CCTV warning signs displayed.
A strict refusal of service policy shall be enforced for customers who are inebriated.
Ensure that all fire safety equipment, adequate access to fire exits and emergency lighting are maintained.
Staff will ensure that customers are limited to ensure that there is no overcrowding of the premises.
There shall always be a trained First Aider on shift during events.
The windows shall be soundproofed.
A designated area shall be provided for smoking.
Speakers will be directed away from neighbours’ walls during live events.
Staff shall maintain a zero policy for the use of strong language and sexually explicit by guests or performances.
Staff will report and remove any customers who are using illicit drugs.
Staff shall ensure that customers are not buying alcohol for underage children.
