Licence conditions (13)
- Private Entertainment The provision of regulated entertainment, that is, the provision of dancing, music or any other entertainment of the like kind, is prohibited (unless it is a licensable activity included in this licence) with the exception of pre-booked private events limited to pre-invited guests only. Recorded Music Provision may be made for the public entertainment in the premises by the reproduction of wireless (including television) broadcasts (or of programmes included in any programme service [within the meaning of the Broadcasting Act 1990] other than a sound or television broadcasting service), or of public entertainment by way of music and singing only which is provided solely by the reproduction of recorded sound.
- PPN Noise emanating from the premises shall not exceed NR40 between the hours of 0800 and 2000 and NR35 between the hours of 2000 and 0800 when measured 3m from the façade of the nearest noise sensitive use. All measurements shall be taken in accordance with BS.7445 Parts 1, 2 and 3. PPN4 All external doors and windows shall be kept closed when regulated entertainment is being provided except in the event of an emergency. PPN19 Where there are any offensive smells created on the premises, provision shall be made for such smells to be vented from the premises so that they do not cause a nuisance to nearby premises. PS1 - Gas Testing Any gas boiler, calorifier or other gas appliances will be tested at least every 12 months by CORGI authorised workmen and subsequent satisfactory and valid inspection report to be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority. PS2 - Electrical Installation Testing The electrical installation shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person. A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an officer of the authority. PS4 - RCD Each socket outlet circuit or individual socket outlets used for regulated entertainment shall be protected by an integral residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA (0.03 amps). Every such circuit and residual current device shall be inspected and tested at intervals specified by a competent person. A satisfactory and valid inspection report shall be available on site for inspection by an authorised officer of the authority.
- Club Management, Steward and bar staff are informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirement to comply with all relevant provisions of the Act.
- The Club has rules which govern the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to the club premises.
- Admission to the Club is confined to members and bona fide guests.
- Bar Staff are instructed not to serve members and guests who behave in a drunk or disorderly fashion.
- Misconduct is reported to the committee.
- The Club complies with Health and Safety and Fire Precautions Regulations also, with capacity limits for the Club (all seated - no standing allowed) Function Room 120 persons and Bar 110 persons.
- The safety of all persons whilst on the premises is of paramount importance.
- Fire action notices are displayed and escape routes signed.
- Members and Guests are instructed to respect the needs of local residents.
- When live or recorded music is played all reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties. The majority of the members are in the older age bracket i.e. over 40 years of age. The club does not have any rowdy dispersals at the end of the day.
- The Club is a Working Mens Club. Membership is restricted to persons over 21 years of age. Children are not allowed on the premises. Children are not normally allowed on the premises, however, there may be occasions when accompanied children are allowed in the function room. e.g. a members private party.
