When alcoholic products are scanned at the till, a prompt shall be displayed to remind staff to check and verify that the customer is not under 18 years of age.
All staff engaged in the sale of alcohol will receive suitable training (including refresher training) in relation to the proof of age "Challenge 25" scheme to be applied on the premises. The following forms of identification are acceptable: photo driving licence, passport, proof of age standards scheme (PASS) card, military ID and any other locally or nationally approved form of identification.
There shall be recorded evidence of ongoing training which will include refresher training not less than every 6 months of all staff whose job involves the sale of alcohol to the public.
Staff training will be recorded and signed by each trainee to confirm understanding.
CCTV shall be maintained and in operation at all times when the premises are open except in the event of mechanical breakdown which will be remedied at the earliest opportunity.
All staff whose job involves the sale of alcohol will use and be aware of the company refusal log and when it should be used. The log shall show:-

ID of staff member making refusal.
The log shall be made available to any Police Officer, Local Authority Licensing Officer, Trading Standards Officer upon request.
All escape routes must be clearly signed and remain clear of obstruction or hazard at all times.
At least one suitably trained first-aider must be on duty when the public are on the premises. If more than one suitably trained first -aider is on duty, at any one time, their respective duties must be clearly defined. Adequate and appropriate first aid equipment and materials shall be available.
Notices shall be displayed in the premises detailing the steps to be taken if a fire is discovered or the fire alarm goes off or other emergency arises and how to call the fire service.
Any refuse containers on site or in public areas or car parks shall be cleared at the start and end of each trading day and the contents disposed of lawfully.
