Licence conditions (14)

The performance of live music will take place within the permitted hours on no more than one day per week. Live music performances will usually consist of a solo singer, duo or trio. Performances from bands consisting of four members or more will take place within the permitted hours on no more than one day per month. Doors will be kept closed at all times during the provision of regulated entertainment save for immediate access and egress Conditions added as a Minor Variation agreed with Kent Police. CCTV CCTV will be provided in the form of a recordable system, capable of providing pictures of evidential quality in all lighting conditions particularly facial recognition.
Cameras shall record all ingress and egress to the premises, fire exits, any external beer garden areas and all areas where the sale and supply of alcohol occur.
Equipment must be maintained in good working order, with recordings correctly time and date stamped. Recordings MUST be kept in date order, kept for a period of 31 days and handed to police and authorised officers on reasonable request.
There shall be a fully trained and appointed member of staff that must be conversant in using the CCTV system for playback requests and for immediate viewing at the request of the Police and/or a responsible officer. The DPS should be full conversant in provision of CCTV download requests and will provide CCTV footage in a recordable format to the police and local authority on reasonable request within 24 hours.
In the event of technical failure of the CCTV equipment the premises licence holder or DPS must report the failure to the police licensing officer immediately (licensing.west.division@kent.police.uk). Staff training All persons who sell or supply alcohol to customers must have licensing training.
Training must take place within six weeks of employment.
Any new employees will be supervised until the training has taken place.
Refresher training should be repeated yearly as a minimum or earlier if required due to changes of legislation.
Training records must be kept on the premises and shall contain the nature, content and frequency of all training.
Records must be made available for inspection by police, police licensing officer and authorised officers from the Council on reasonable request either electronically or in hard copy. Refusals Book The designated premises supervisor must keep a refusal register. Staff to be trained to complete a refusal book/record immediately after the refusal but no later than the end of their shift. The register must be kept on the premises and will detail:
1.Day, date & time of refusal.
2.Item refused.
3.Name and description of person refused sale.
4.Reason for refusal. Each entry is to be checked and signed by the DPS. The register must be made available for police, police licensing officer and authorised officers from Local Authority on demand either electronically or by hard copy. Incident Book The Designated premises supervisor shall ensure that an incident report register is kept at the premises in a written or electronic format, in which full details of all incidents are recorded. This shall be completed as soon as possible and, in any case, no later than the close of business on the day of the incident. The time and date when the report was completed, and by whom, is to form part of the entry. The register shall be always kept on the premises and shall be produced to an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority or the Police on request. Reporting of Incidents Any incidents of crime and disorder known to staff at the premises are to be reported to police. Challenge 25 The premises shall adopt a Challenge 25 policy.
