A telephone shall be available to customers so that they may arrange for a taxi or mini cab to collect then from the premises.
Where Karaoke entertainment is to be provided at any time during the night hours (23:00 hours to 07:00 hours the following day), noise from the karaoke entertainment shall be inaudible at the façade (façade meaning the elevation or elevations of buildings used for habitation that face towards the licensed premises) of nearby residential premises.
At all times when the premises operate under the terms of this licence the CCTV system serving the premises shall: a. be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; b. make and retain clear images of the public area of the premises, including the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and c. show an accurate date and time that the recordings were made.
All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and shall be made available for viewing by any police, community support or authorised person upon demand.
An original, or a copy, of CCTV recordings shall be provided upon demand to any police, community support or authorised person. Copies shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises and the only ID accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: o proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; o passport o UK photo driving licence; or o other form of ID as agreed with the Licensing Authority
A refusals book, or similar record, shall be kept at the premises in which shall be recorded forthwith the date, time, and circumstances under which any attempted purchase by a person under 18 years of age or unable to provide acceptable ID of their age has been refused. This book or other form of record shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised person upon demand
A minimum of one personal licence holder shall be present at the premises at all times when alcohol is sold, supplied or consumed
A minimum of one manager shall be on the premises after 23.00 hours
After 23:00 hours except insofar as necessary for fire safety reasons all doors and windows shall be kept closed
No speakers, amplification or live entertainment shall be allowed within the front lobby of the premises
The sale and supply of alcohol must be ancillary to the provision of substantial food and karaoke
No children under the age of 18 years shall be allowed onto the premises after 23.30 hours
The last admission or readmission of the public to the premises shall be 23.30 hours. Signs to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position so as to be seen by the public from the street.
That on Friday and Saturday , a minimum of two Security Industry Authority (SIA) accredited door supervisors shall be on duty at the premises displaying their name badges from 23.00 hours until such time as the last member of the public has left.
Staff shall receive regular training, not less than twice a year, in the responsible retail of alcohol, which shall include the prevention of underage sales and not serving to drunken persons, and the operation of the CCTV system. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall on request be made available to the Police, community support officer or an authorised person. CONDITIONS 1 TO 3 ABOVE WERE IMPOSED BY THE LICENSING SUB-COMMITTEE ON 9 MARCH 2009
