The premises is primarily a coffee shop & café with coffee & teas, food & non-alcoholic drinks. Alcohol will be served with food or be purchased for off-site consumption. The Licence Holder shall only offer a small selection of alcoholic products and will promote responsible drinking by offering many low & no alcohol beverages as well as ensuring customers are aware of all the alternative offerings.
Alcoholic drink promotions will only be available with the consumption of food or as a take away option.
Only the smallest measures of alcohol for each category will be offered to customers & the alcoholic content percentage will be listed alongside each drink so customers are informed.
We will establish a good working relationship with a local taxi firm so we can help provide transport should customers want to have a drink.
The licence holder shall ensure all staff are trained in responsible alcohol retailing. Staff training records will be kept at the premises, and refresher training will be undertaken with staff on a regular basis. Staff training records will be made available upon request to an officer of the local authority and or the Police. Prevention of crime and disorder
Should any incidents of a criminal nature and or anti-social behaviour occur on our premises; the local Police shall be informed immediately.
CCTV will be installed and maintained in full working order. Prominent signage will be displayed throughout the premises informing people that there is CCTV in operation. All recordings will be maintained for at least 28 days and will be made available to an authorised officer of the licensing Authority or a police officer on demand.
The licence holder shall keep and maintain a refusals register on the premises which will be available for inspection by an authorised officer on request. Public safety
The Licence Holder shall ensure that there will always be a trained first-aider present while the premises is open to the public.
There are fire extinguishers on the wall inside the store should these need to be used as well as in the kitchen. Staff are also trained in Fire Safety. The large bi-fold doors used as our front door (exit) as well as a side door (exit) will always be unlocked during the store opening hours should we need to use our fire exit strategy. Prevention of public nuisance 1.The premises will be closed by 11pm at the latest and this will only be when providing a dinner service, I or 2 times a week. Any events held at the premises will also end by 11pm and will be of a small capacity.
The licence holder shall display clear and legible notices requesting patrons leave the premises and nearby area quietly.
The premises is located on a business park which provides waste bins near the coffee shop. Staff will also regularly check the area immediately around the premises and clear any litter. Protection of children from harm
The licence holder shall implement the 'Challenge 25' scheme, ensuring prominent signage is displayed throughout the premises. The Licence Holder shall ensure that any person selling or supplying alcohol at the premises, asks for photographic proof of ID document where they have reason to suspect that the individual may be under 25 years of age.
