Emsworth Sailing Club has operating procedures and policies which include risk assessments, training of staff in all aspects of regulatory compliance and operating policies and measures of noise or other nuisance to neighbours.
CCTV is installed with continual recording. Security lighting outside. Only members and their guests can enter the club through an electronic card access system which only members have.
Fire alarms and emergency lighting tests carried out weekly. Fire extinguishers serviced regularly by an authorised company. First aid kits situated around the club. Swimming pool fenced and locked up between 2000 - 0800. Regular risk assessments are carried out and PAT testing.
Member and guests are asked to leave the site quietly. A notice is to be placed prominently at the exits asking customers to leave quietly. Live and recorded music subject to a 30 minute wind down period where noise level is reduced.
The club operates a child protection policy. Club bye-laws provide comprehensive protection for children. There is a designated child protection safety officer because it is a family orientated club with a large number of junior members.
