Licence conditions (12)

The only forms of ID that may be accepted under the Challenge 25 in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be: a) proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b) passport; c) UK photo driving licence; or d) other form of ID as agreed in writing by the Licensing Authority
Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises entrance(s)/and inside at the premises.
A book, or other form of record, a version of which must be in English, shall be kept in which shall be recorded the date, time and circumstances of the following: a) any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme and; b) any disorder, ejection or other relevant incident that occurs on the premises.
This book, or record, shall be kept on the premises at all times they are open and shall be made available for inspection forthwith upon demand by any police or community support officer or authorised person . Management shall regularly check the book to ensure all staff are using it.
No alcohol is sold unless the till prompt system is maintained operational at the premises.
The CCTV system serving the premises shall: c) be maintained fully operational and in good working order at all times; d) make and retain clear images that include the points of sale of alcohol and facial images of the purchasers of the alcohol; and e) show an accurate date and time that the images were made.
All CCTV images shall be retained for a period of not less than 31 days and the original CCTV images, or a copy, shall be provided upon demand to any police officer, community support officer or authorised person.
The original, or a copy, of CCTV images shall be provided in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV equipment is inoperative for any reason. Note: Conditions 1 to 10 above were offered by the Licence holder at the Licensing Sub Committee meeting on 31 March 2014.

All existing staff whose responsibilities include the retail sale of alcohol shall be retrained by the new designated premises supervisor and on induction any new staff shall be trained on a) the prevention of underage sales of alcohol which shall include operation of the Challenge 25 scheme types of acceptable ID method of recording challenges and likely consequence of making an underage sale. b) refusing sales of alcohol to persons who appear to be drunk c) proxy sales and d) the operation of the CCTV equipment.
The two existing members of staff employed as of 31 March 2014 and who have not completed the personal licence holder's training shall be required to undertake the BIIAB course on the responsible retailing of alcohol within 3 months of 31 March 2014. (Condition 1 to 3 above were imposed by The Licensing Sub-Committee on 31 March 2014)
