All staff shall receive training on the operation of the CCTV system at least twice a year. Such training shall be recorded and these records shall on request be made available to the Police, community support officer or an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority. Only management to download, staff only able to review CCTV.
All individual containers of alcohol (or the outer packaging of multipacks where individual containers are inaccessible) shall be marked with either: a) A label showing the name and address of the premises ; or b) A label with the unique reference number RY23.
For the purpose of paragraph 6(8) of Schedule 8 to the Licensing Act 2003 this licence is subject to the effect of restrictions contained in the Licensing Act 1964 and the Children and Young Persons Act 1933,which include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises;
ii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during the hours permitted under this licence, however this restriction does not prohibit:
During the first twenty minutes after the permitted hour, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
The ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the dispatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered;
The sale of alcohol to a trader or club for the purposes of the trade or club; and
The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces;
iii) Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied unless it is paid for before or at the time when it is sold or supplied, except alcohol sold or supplied to a canteen or mess
iv) No child shall be employed:
So long as he is under the age of fourteen years;
To do any work other than light work;
Before the close of school hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
Before seven o'clock in the morning or after seven o'clock in the evening on any day;
For more than two hours on any day on which he is required to attend school;
For more than two hours on any Sunday;
Five hours in any day on which he is not required to attend school, and which is not a Sunday;
For more than thirty-five hours or, if he is under the age of fifteen years, for more than twenty-five hours in any week in which he is not required to attend school;
For more than four hours in any day without a rest break of one hour; or
At any time in a year unless at that time he has had, or could still have, during a period in the year in which he is not required to attend school, at least two consecutive weeks without employment.
The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. This scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide ID. Notices to this effect shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position inside the premises and on the door of the premises visible from outside. The only ID accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: o proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; o passport o UK photo driving licence; or o other form of ID as agreed with the Licensing Authority
A record shall be kept at the premises in which the date, time, and circumstances under which challenges are made to persons who appear to be under 25 years of age and the outcome of that challenge are written forthwith. This record shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised Council officers upon demand
Every sale of alcohol under this licence must be made by a person who holds a personal licence.
At all times when the premises operate in accordance with this licence CCTV equipment shall be installed and maintained at the premises. The CCTV equipment shall be capable of viewing and recording transactions that take place in those parts of the premises where alcohol is sold. The recorded images shall be retained for at least 31 days and be regularly reviewed by the Designated Premises Supervisor in order to ensure that any sales of alcohol made when he is absent from the premises have been conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Act. Copies of the recorded images shall be provided to a Police Officer or an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority on request in a format that can be viewed on readily available equipment without the need for specialist software.
No alcohol shall be sold if the CCTV system is inoperative for any reason.
Signs of a minimum A4 size shall be displayed in a prominent position both inside and outside the premises bearing the words "It is a criminal offence to purchase alcohol on these premises for persons under 18 years of age" (Conditions 1 to 6 above were imposed by the Licensing Sub-Committee on 17 September 2008)
