- General Conditions
- Licensing Act 1964, Sections 95 - Part IV licences for restaurants, guest houses etc
- Alcohol may be sold or supplied: a. On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year’s Eve from 11a.m. to 12p.m. On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and on Good Friday, 12 noon to 11.30 p.m. On Christmas Day 12 noon to11.30 p.m. On New Year’s Eve, except on a Sunday, 11 a.m. to midnight. On New Year’s Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 11.30 p.m. On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours on New Year’s Eve to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31 December).
- The above restrictions do not prohibit: During the first twenty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises; During the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel; During the first thirty minutes after the above hours the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied for consumption an ancillary to the meals; Consumption of the alcohol on the premises or the taking of sale or supply of alcohol to any person residing in the premises.
- Suitable non-alcoholic beverages, including drinking water shall be equally available for consumption with or otherwise as an ancillary to meals served in the licensed premises.
- The premises must be bona fide used for the purpose of habitually providing the customary main meal at midday or in the evening, or both, for the accommodation of persons frequenting the premises.
- Intoxicating Liquor shall not be sold or supplied on the premises otherwise than to persons taking table meals there and for consumption by such a person as an ancillary to his meal. Crime and Disorder
- The Licensee will provide/install and maintain CCTV equipment at the premises in full working order. All recordings will be retained for at least 28 days and will be made available to an authorised officer of the Licensing Authority or Police on demand.
- The Licensee will display appropriate crime prevention notices at the request of the Police. Public Safety
- The Licensee will provide a fire alarm system and maintain it in good working order.
- The Licensee will ensure that the appropriate warning signs are provided, e.g. “Warning - Wet Floor” when applicable. Prevention of Public Nuisance
- The Licensee will carry out regular checks inside/outside the premises and clear any litter.
- The Licensee will ensure that adequate waste bins are provided, and emptied on a regular basis. Protection of children from harm
- The Licensee will notify the Police immediately of any underage drinking or disturbance in the vicinity of the licensed premises.
