  1. CCTV will be installed, operated and maintained to the satisfaction of the Chief of Police in accordance with the requirements set out in our Licensing policy. CCTV images will be retained for a minimum of 14 days and be produced on the request of the Police (recording media must be set to 25 frames per second). The CCTV system will be operational at all times whilst the premises is trading. If the system is faulty or not working then the Police will be informed immediately. Details of the malfunction will be recorded in the premises incident book. A4 sized warning notices will be displayed in public areas of the premises and at all entrances advising that CCTV is in operation. The signs located at entrances will be placed at the exterior of the building at, and adjacent to, all public access doors. All signs will comply with the Data Protection Act 2002. Membership of local licensee associations will be maintained and the licence holder or their representative will attend meetings and participate in all relevant initiatives. A crime prevention policy will be in place. An incident book will be maintained within which full details of all occurrences of disorder and refused alcohol sales at the premises will be recorded. The incident book will be kept at the premises at all times and will be made available for inspection by the Police. No one carrying open or sealed bottles will be admitted to the premises at any time. No customers will be permitted to take open containers of alcohol or soft drinks from the premises.
  2. An appropriate method will be used for checking the number of people entering and leaving the premises and ensure that once the maximum occupancy is reached, no further persons are admitted. Irresponsible drinks promotions will not be permitted and the British beer and pub association standards will be complied with. The licence holder or people authorised by them will check the premises before it opens to the public to ensure there are no risks to patrons and that all safety precautions are in place. The licence holder will ensure that all staff receive appropriate training about emergency and general safety precautions and procedures. The telephone numbers of local taxis operators will be prominently displayed at the premises for the benefit of customers. All bottles, glasses and rubbish will be removed from public areas on a regular and frequent basis. The electrical systems, gas systems and any oil fired boilers and appliances at the premises, will be inspected and tested annually by a competent, suitably qualified and registered person. All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection. The fire safety measures provided on the premises will be maintained in good working order, and their adequacy will be determined on a regular basis by the carrying out of a fire risk assessment as required by, and in accordance with, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. An adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials will be available on the premises.
  3. The licence holder will ensure that staff regularly patrol the premises both indoors and outdoors to supervise the orderly conduct of patrons. To minimise the effect of littering, the applicant will provide litter bins both inside and directly outside the premises. During the opening hours, and at the close of business, arrangement will be made for litter from the business to be collected from the immediate vicinity and stored inside the premises pending collection.
  4. Refusals book A written log shall be kept of all refusals including refusals to sell alcohol. The Premises Licence Holder shall ensure that the refusals log is checked, signed and dated on a weekly basis by the store manager/manageress. The refusals log will be kept and maintained at the premises and will be available for inspection immediately upon request by Hampshire Constabulary and any responsible authority. The record of refusals will be retained for 12 months.
  5. Training Staff will be trained regarding appropriate precautions to prevent the sale of alcohol to persons under the age of 18, the signs and symptoms of drunk persons and the refusal of sale due to intoxication. Records will be kept of such training which must be signed and dated by the member of staff who has received that training. All staff will receive refresher training every six months as a minimum and records are to be kept of this refresher training which should be signed and dated by the member of staff who received that training. All training records will be made immediately available for inspection by Hampshire Constabulary and any responsible Authority upon request. Training records will be kept for a minimum period of two years. Training records will be kept on the licensed premises to which they relate to.
  6. Challenge 25 There will be a Challenge 25 policy operating at the premises. Challenge 25 means that the holder of the premises licence shall ensure that every individual, who visually appears to be under 25 years of age and is seeking to purchase or be supplied with alcohol at the premises or from the premises, shall produce identification proving that individual to be 18 years of age or older. Acceptable identification for the purposes of age verification will include a driving licence, passport or photographic identification bearing the "PASS" logo and the persons date of birth. If the person seeking alcohol is unable to produce acceptable means of identification, no sale or supply of alcohol will be made to or for that person. 'Challenge 25' posters shall be displayed in prominent positions at the premises.
