The premises shall operate in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme. Whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years or over, any person who appears under 25 years of age shall be required to provide proof of age using an acceptable form of ID.
Notices advertising that the premises operates a "Challenge 25" scheme shall be displayed in a clear and prominent position at the premises.
The only acceptable forms of ID that may be accepted in respect of the sale of alcohol shall be a: a. proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; b. passport; c. UK photo driving licence; or d. other ID with the prior written approval of the Licensing Authority.
A book, or other form of record, shall be kept in which the date, time and circumstances under which any challenge made in accordance with the "Challenge 25" scheme shall be recorded. The "challenge book", or other form of record, shall be made available for inspection by any police, community support or authorised Council officers upon demand.
Where the customer aged 18 or over indicates that they are purchasing alcohol for a 16 or 17 year old, to drink with their meal, the 16 or 17 year old shall also be required to produce a valid proof of ID. Acceptable forms of ID are detailed on condition 3 above.
Alcohol shall only be sold for consumption on the premises to persons having a table meal or those waiting to be seated prior to having a table meal or for consumption off the premises.
All alcohol in the public areas of the premises shall either be behind the counter or kept in full view of the staff in displays as marked in the plan submitted with the application attached to the Premises Licence as Annex 4.
No draught beer shall be supplied on the premises.
