S.49(3) Licensing Act 1964:- There shall be no alteration of the rules of the club without the consent of the Court so as to authorise sales of intoxicating liquor not already authorised under the rules except such sales as permitted by S.49(4) of the Act.

Sporting events are: Darts; Dominos; Card games; Bingo; Snooker and Pool - and similar activites.
Live Music:-
Indoors only. Live music includes country & western, and various acts in all rooms.

Additional Steps taken to promote four Licensing objectives:
General:-
The club is for private members-to promote the ideals and aims of the Royal British legion. Members must be 18+, be nominated by an ex-service person (Army, Navy, RAF etc...) and approved by an elected committee.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder:-
Club is governed by a rule book - transgressions are dealt with by a displinary procedure. Guests are responsibility of members. Members hiring rooms provide guest lists. Birthday parties are 25+, Members are 18+. Guests are expected to provide "proof of age" cards. Club is a member of Pubwatch.
Public Safety:-
All escape routes are clearly marked and illuminated as required, fire exits are marked and equipped with push bars. Upholstered furniture has been assessed for fire risk-and removed or replaced. Extinguishers checked annually. Disabled access checked.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance:-
Notices are around club regarding noise when leaving. Music only permitted during licensed hours. Refuse is stored in bins on club premises. Kitchen smells filtered and extracted. Fireworks only normally permitted on 5th Nov.
The Protection of Children from Harm:-
There is a non-smoking room. Main bar and hall is equipped with air cleaners. Children not allowed in club after 21.00. Children not allowed in club without parents.
