Licence conditions (19)

General Conditions
The Licensee will ensure that adequate public liability insurance is maintained. Crime and Disorder
The Licensee will ensure that all staff members seek credible evidence of age (e.g. driving licence, PASS card) from any individual who appears to be under the age of twenty-one attempting to purchase alcohol.
The Licensee will: Adopt a proof of age scheme Adopt a refusal register Not adopt any drink promotions activities that will undermine a policy of responsible drinking. Ensure that training is provided to all staff on licensing law and records are kept Ensure that non-alcoholic drink is available at all times on the premises.
The Licence holder/DPS shall implement the ‘Challenge 25’ scheme, ensuring prominent signage is displayed throughout the premises and all staff are trained in its operation.
The licence holder/DPS will ensure that all staff engaged in the sale of alcohol to be given suitable training in responsible alcohol retailing. Training records shall be kept on the premises and produced to the Police and authorised Local Authority Licensing Officers on demand. For the avoidance of doubt this training can be administered in-house in accordance with the relevant criteria. Training will be reviewed on a six monthly basis. 5.The licence holder/DPS will ensure that a member of the premises management team or supervisor is on duty for the duration of all functions/events.
The licence holder/DPS will ensure that a suitably qualified first aider will be on duty for the duration of all functions/events, and that suitable first aid equipment will be available at any time the premises is open. Public Safety
The Licensee will ensure that a risk assessment is undertaken before any event.
The Licensee will ensure that all fire and other safety equipment is regularly tested and maintained in good working order.
The Licensee will ensure that all staff members are briefed on safety matters prior to an event. Prevention of Public Nuisance
There shall be no use of external areas (including the Gallery) after 23:00 hours except for persons wishing to smoke.
Any outdoor music shall be restricted by way of the following: (i) No music will take place after 21:30 hours (ii) Outdoor music shall only take place if strictly controlled such that noise disturbance is not caused to nearby residential properties.
All external windows and doors to the premises shall be kept closed other than for access and egress when there are performances of live music, recorded music, public address system, other than in the form of amplified background music from a radio, CD player or other similar device, is being played, and when there is other musical entertainment of a similar description, for example karaoke or a disco.
The volume of the amplification system for any description of musical entertainment shall be strictly controlled so that the noise levels are non-intrusive at the boundaries of nearby residential properties.
A responsible person shall monitor the music levels at the boundary of the premises, and implement any changes to reduce the noise levels in accordance with any request by an authorised officer of the Council immediately and ensure that volume is maintained at the reduced level.
The movement of bottles to and from receptacles outside the premises shall not take place between the hours of 23:00 and 07:00 other than for deliveries.
The Licensee will ensure that adequate steps are in place (e.g. signage and/or sufficient staff on site) to ensure that customers leave the premises quietly.
In the event of any additional ventilation being found to be necessary to the premises, a detailed scheme shall be submitted to the Head of Health at Suffolk Coastal District Council and only an approved scheme shall be implemented at the premises and shall be maintained and retained in the approved form thereafter.
