Conditions carried over from the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982:
LICENSING OF PUBLIC ENTERTAINMENT
Under the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982:
Public music and dancing and public entertainment of the like kind on Monday to Saturday between the hours of 12.00hrs and 02.00hrs (the following morning) and Sundays between the hours of 16.30hrs and 22.00hrs.
This Licence is subject to the provisions of the said Act, to the Regulations and Conditions now or from time to time made by the local Council and to any Additional Conditions included on this Licence.
Additional Conditions:
1) The electrical installation shall be inspected at least once in every five years, or such lesser period as is considered appropriate to the individual case, by a competent electrical engineer appointed by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises and a certificate stating the condition of the installation shall after each inspection, be forwarded to the Council by or on behalf of the licensee of the premises.
2) The number of persons (excluding staff and attendants) to be allowed at any one time in the licensed premises shall not exceed:

3) The licence holder shall provide the Council with the contact details (name and telephone number etc) of the licence holder or anyone else involved in the organisation of the event, who can be contacted whilst the premises are open.
4) Admission to all parts of the licensed areas shall be given at all reasonable times, either during or other than during an event, to authorised officers of the Pollution Team, even without prior notice.
5) Where required by the Council, noise limiting devices shall be installed in the premises and shall be effectively maintained and operated. Limiting devices shall have a sound level meter which is set at a predetermined sound loading and:
· Activates a visual warning device which allows the operator to reduce the sound output level; or
· Automatically reduces the sound level; or
· Switches off the power supply for a predetermined delay period.
6) The licence holder or anyone involved in the organisation of entertainments (including those controlling the volume of music) shall ensure that any noise emanating from the premises is such as not to cause annoyance or disturbance to residents in the locality.
7) All doors and windows of the building, which is the subject of this consent, shall be kept closed at all times during the entertainment events, except when access is required to/from the premises.
8) The inner front entrance door to the premises shall not be fixed in the open position during any public entertainment event.
9) No external loudspeaker systems shall be installed without the prior approval in writing of the Environment and Health Department.
Additional Steps Taken in order to Promote the Four Licensing Objectives:
General:-
Existing company procedures will be applied to the premises in relation to the additional hours that are requested, and further information in respect of the Company procedures can be found in the attached documents: JD Wetherspoon-Overview of Operations; JD Wetherspoon Approach to Responsible Drinks Retailing.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder:-
The Company is committed to strict compliance with the law in the course of the operation of its premises and to maintaining good standards of behaviour by its customers. The measures identified in the attached Overview of Operations are designed to meet the Prevention of Crime and Disorder objective and may be found at sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I, J, L. These measures will continue to apply to the additional hours sought by this variation.
Public Safety:-
JD Wetherspoon undertakes ongoing risk assessments in order to comply with Health and Safety ligislation. The attached Overview of Operations identifies certain areas from a licensing perspective which address the Public Safety Objective. Please see sections A, B, C, D, G, I, J and L.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance:-
There is to be no change in the trading terms of these premises other than the later opening hurs sought by this variation. The existing measures identified in the attached Overview of Operations will continue to apply. Please see sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, I, J, and L.
The Protection of Children from Harm:-
The Company has many years of experience in catering for families with over 95% of its premises having the benefit of Children Certificates. It is Company policy that children will be required to vacate the Bar by 21.00 hours unless they are eating in which case they will be required to vacate the bar by 21.30 hours. Children must always be accompanied by an adult who will be required to maintain constant supervision of them. The measures identified in the attached Overview of Operations provide further confirmation of the Company's compliance with the Protection of Children from Harm Objective. Please see sections A, B, C, D, G, I, J, K and L.
